Maybe in the end, we have to go back to IPTV
The IPTV acquisition method is relatively complicated, and it is necessary to capture the IPTV interface data of the optical modem and convert it to M3U format, but fortunately, the Internet has gathered to help us sort out a lot of long-term effective and useful IPTV sources.
This topic describes how to install Jellyfin and use the live TV function to play IPTV and implement the EPG electronic program list and program recording function.
一、安装Jellfyfin
(1) The one-click installation script after SSH is as follows:
docker run -d --name jellyfin --net=host -v 【路径1】:/config -v 【路径2】:/cache -v 【路径3】:/video --restart=unless-stopped jellyfin/jellyfin
To obtain IPV6 support, we recommend that you set the network to host and ensure that port 8096 in the NAS is not occupied. If 8096 is occupied. Or if you need to change the port, use the following command and then modify:
docker run -d --name jellyfin -p 【端口1】:8096 -v 【路径1】:/config -v 【路径2】:/cache -v 【路径3】:/video --restart=unless-stopped jellyfin/jellyfin
Path 1 - the directory where the configuration file is located on the NAS, for example, /volume1/docker/jellyfin/config
Path 2 - the directory where the cache files are located in the NAS, for example, /volume1/docker/jellyfin/cache-v
Path 3 – your media library, e.g. /volume2/video
Port 1 - the port you want to use, e.g. 38096
(2) Install through Synology Container Manager (Docker):
Click Synology's Container Manager tool, click on Registry, and enter jellyfin in the upper right corner. Select the first official image. Here you can choose some custom or other versions of the image, such as: nyanmisaka/jellyfin, etc.
Once the download is complete, select the Image button on the left, select the image, and click Run
Configure ports and paths
If you are using host or macvlan, select it in the network
(3) Change the port (important)
Thanks to a few friends for pointing out that I forgot to emphasize it after talking about editing ports before. If Jellyfin/emby wants to use IPTV, it must use the host mode, not bridge.
After the installation is complete, enter the IP: port, such as 192.168.0.100:38096 to access Jellyfin's WebUI, and log in to set the account password.
If you use bridge to deploy because of port conflict 8096, you need to go to the settings first, change the WebUI port to another port, and then change the network mode back to host.
After going to the console - networking - after changing the local HTTP port and the remote HTTP port to a non-8096 port, as here I changed it to 18096. Then reset the network of the docker container (you can use portainer)
2. Configure IPTV sources and EPG electronic program lists
After entering the system, come to the home page, click on the avatar in the upper right corner, and click [Console] under [Management]
Select [Tuner Equipment]
Select M3U and enter the IPTV address collected by the gods in the file or URL below.
Then you need to configure the EPG of the electronic program list, select [TV Guide Data Provision] below, select [XMLTV], fill in the address [http://epg.51zmt.top:8000/e.xml], and save.
At this time, Jellyfin has already started to automatically update the program list, and we are waiting for the program list to be updated.
Back on the homepage, we can see that TV shows have been added to the homepage, and after clicking to enter, we can view the guide.
3. Program recording
This is another topic, for example, the IPTV recording group in PT, we click on a program in the guide, and the program recording will pop up, and the recording of a TV series is a series of recordings according to the name, and the recording is to record an episode separately.
Go back to the control panel, select [Digital Video Recorder], set the save path of the recorded program, and record the time difference (the time difference of domestic TV dramas is still a bit serious, you can choose 20 minutes before and after to ensure that the recording will be successful)
At last
IPTV sources can not only be used on streaming media applications such as Jellyfin/emby, but also on the TV side through KODI to install IPTV plug-ins, or directly use video players that support M3U for parsing and playback. If conditions permit, you can also grab some IPTV sources by yourself to free up the router port.
