The yellow rice noodles are mixed with cold water and steamed thoroughly, the freshly steamed yellow rice noodles are very hot, so you should stick it with your hands and dip it in water. It was an important step, and one that I found the hardest. The children and I worked next to him, and when my husband was ready, I followed him to make cakes. Teacher Mei Jie recalled that the cake noodles were very sticky, so they had to be kneaded into a long strip like dumplings, divided into one by one, and then wrapped in the filling.
