On February 2, Dongchuan District held the 2023 "Struggle for Development and Contribution to New Dongchuan" Labor Competition and the Summary Meeting of the Tongdu Staff Vocational Skills Competition. Relevant leaders of the District Federation of Trade Unions, the Organization Department of the District Party Committee, and the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed and summarized the activities of the 2023 labor competition and the Tongdu Employee Vocational Skills Competition in Dongchuan District, read out the results of the 2023 "Struggle for Development and Contribution to the New Dongchuan" Labor Competition and the Tongdu Employee Vocational Skills Competition in Dongchuan District, and awarded medals and certificates to the advanced collectives and individuals who have achieved excellent results in labor competitions and skill competitions, with superb business and excellent technology, and awarded a total of 75 labor competition medals and certificates and 231 skill competition certificates.
The meeting pointed out that the 2023 labor and skills competition in Dongchuan District has built a platform for industrial workers in the district to "learn technology, practice skills, and strengthen quality", and contributed to the main force of the working class to accelerate the creation of a grand team of industrial workers who have ideals and beliefs, understand technology and innovation, and dare to take responsibility and dedication, and promote the new situation of high-quality economic and social development in Dongchuan District.
For the future development of labor and skills competition, the meeting proposed: First, it is necessary to improve the awareness of the overall situation, and take the development of labor and skills competition as an important measure to unite and mobilize the majority of workers to actively participate in the construction of the "six Dongchuan". Second, it is hoped that the majority of employees will take the advanced as an example and strive to be high-quality workers who are learning-oriented, skilled, and innovative. Third, it is hoped that trade union organizations at all levels will take the competition as the starting point to unite and mobilize the majority of workers to actively participate in economic and social construction and make contributions to the "14th Five-Year Plan".
A total of 120 people attended the meeting, including the chairmen of the grassroots trade unions and trade union federations directly under the competition, the leaders in charge of the organizers of the competition projects, and the winners of the competition.
