Brand ambassadors Patrick Lau, May Andersen, Emma Corrin, Angel Haze, Demi Singleton and Cailee Spaeny co-star in the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2024 print and video campaign. In an indefinitely ambiguous space, the photographer creates a series of unrestrained portraits, simple yet vibrant. The sun in Los Angeles shifts angles, following the path of day and night and casting kaleidoscopic shadows on the waves of the waves.
The main characters in the film come from different fields, including actors, singers, and models. They move in a variety of ways, but they all carry handbags full of items. Are they going out or coming home, are they going to the beach or have just come back from the beach? Everyone exudes a unique sense of beauty, everyone lives in the moment, and shows their mastery of clothing with their unique body movements. And these garments are just as bold as that. Classic wardrobes that are precisely positioned for life in the moment include swimwear, sportswear, evening wear, tailoring in lightweight wool and chinos, some embellished with delicate embroidery, others in supple leather and suede. The fabric has been washed and distressed, revealing the traces of time with a great flavour. Pale cotton and linen are specially treated to evoke precious antiquities. Traces of memories are all over the surface and embedded in the seams. History is cherished, passed on and borrowed here.
The purpose and function of clothing are subverted. A beaded cocktail gown is paired with a bathrobe, and a striped T-shirt is set against a gold damask dress: the contrast is surprising. The connotations of different garments echo each other, and the style is romantic and uninhibited, yet wise and elegant, deeply interpreting the complexity, layering and diversity of today's world. Time seems to be slow and long, but it also flies by inadvertently. Expressions and postures are constantly changing. The spirit of the costume is sometimes rebellious outwardly, sometimes gentle and introverted. Convey the core themes that are crucial in an easy-to-understand way – positive emotions and an attitude to live in the moment.
