The Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games are coming to an end. In the women's freestyle skiing halfpipe competition held on January 31, Liu Yishan and Chen Zihan won the first and second places respectively, which was also the first gold medal for the Chinese delegation in the snow event of this Winter Youth Olympic Games.

This is also the sixth gold medal won by the Chinese delegation at this event, after the previous five from short track speed skating and speed skating.
In the final three rounds of skating, Liu Yishan ranked first in all scores. She scored a game-high 92.25 points in the second round. Chen Zihan won the silver medal with a score of 83.75 points in the first run. Katrin Gray of the United States won the bronze medal with 79.25 points.

"I played to my full strength in today's fight, and the atmosphere of the tournament made me feel very excited, and everyone was going to compete with each other to improve the difficulty of the moves. Because you are driven into this atmosphere, it is easier to play at your own level. Liu Yishan said after the game.
In the mixed doubles curling competition, the Chinese team, which had won five consecutive victories, was no longer magical. In the quarterfinals, Gong Changyuting and Xu Bokang lost to the Swedish team 6:9 and missed the semifinals. Sweden will face Great Britain in the semi-finals on 1 February, with the other final spot between the United States and Denmark. The final will be played after two semi-finals.

The men's ice hockey final was played between the United States and the Czech Republic. In the group stage, the Czech Republic defeated the United States on penalties. In this rematch, the U.S. team scored in all three quarters of the game, and finally won 4-0, winning the championship for the first time since 2016. Finland won the bronze medal.
In the women's final, Sweden defeated Japan 4-0, and Germany finished third.
On the evening of February 1, the Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games will usher in the closing ceremony, and the final five gold medals in cross-country skiing, figure skating, curling and snowboarding will be decided on the same day.
