Winter Vacation Fire Safety Notice to Students and Parents

Dear Parents and Students,

During the winter holidays, the weather is dry, which is a fire-prone period. In order to improve the fire safety awareness of you and your children, enhance the ability of fire prevention and escape and self-rescue, so that every family and child can stay away from the threat of fire, the fire rescue department warmly reminds:

1. Teach children not to play with fire, not to throw fire on waste paper baskets or combustibles, and not to mess with power supplies such as gas stoves, household appliances, and power strips at home.

2. Do not connect the wires at home or in the building, do not overload the electricity, turn off the power of household appliances in time after use, and use qualified electrical products.

3. When using the stove for heating, keep the indoor ventilation and beware of carbon monoxide poisoning; when using the electric heater for heating, keep a safe distance from the combustible materials such as furniture and clothing, do not cover or dry the clothes on the electric heater, and correctly use the heating equipment such as heaters and electric blankets to extinguish the fire.

4. The 75% concentration alcohol used for home disinfection is a Class A flammable liquid and should not be stored in large quantities. When using and storing, it is strictly forbidden to contact the fire source, and do not spray excessive disinfectant on live equipment such as sockets, switches, and electrical appliances to avoid causing fire.

5. Do not leave the fire in the kitchen, do not touch any electrical switches or use open flames when gas leaks, close the valves quickly, open doors and windows for ventilation. When the oil pan catches fire, remember not to splash water, close the gas valve of the stove first, and then cover the pot directly.

6. When you go out from home, do "three clearances and three clearances". Do not pile up sundries in the kitchen, balcony, public walkway, and stairwell, clean up indoor combustibles in time, and strictly prohibit electric vehicle flying wire charging and entering the building.

7. Parents should reduce smoking at home, do not smoke in bed, dispose of cigarette butts properly, and strictly prohibit throwing cigarette butts in the air.

8. Help your child become more familiar with the fire escape skills, be aware of the surrounding environment of the house, be familiar with the escape route, and tell the child not to risk running back to the fire scene.

9. Teach children not to walk, play, skate, pick up objects, etc. on dangerous water surfaces such as rivers, reservoirs, ponds, etc., so as not to break the ice surface and fall into the icy water.

10. When entering large shopping malls, entertainment venues or staying in hotels, pay attention to the location of "safety exits" and "evacuation routes" so that you can escape in time in case of emergency.

11. If you find a fire, you should call 119 in time, and when calling the police, you should state the detailed address, the burning substance of the fire site, the size of the fire, etc., if you find fire hazards and fire violations, please call "12345" to complain and report in time.

12. Parents should do a good job in fire safety education for their children, and educate their children to take care of fire hydrants, fire extinguishers and other fire-fighting facilities and equipment around them.

Dear parents and friends, the responsibility of fire safety is heavier than Mount Tai, and I hope that we will work together to do a good job in fire safety and avoid fire accidents. Finally, I wish all parents and students a happy, safe and happy holiday.
