Ma Yingjun said in his speech that Leting County has a long history of poetry culture, profound heritage, outstanding people, and talents. It is the birthplace of "big drums, shadow puppets, and commenting operas" of Sanzhihua in eastern Hebei, and it is also the hometown of Li Dazhao, one of the main founders of the Communist Party of China. Shi Menglan, a native of Leting in the Qing Dynasty, is the author of more than 340 volumes of 16 kinds such as "Yongping Poems" and "Zhiyuan Poems", and is known as the first person in Jingdong; the revolutionary great man Li Dazhao's poems such as "Miscellaneous Feelings of Climbing the Tower (2 poems)", "Sending Friends on the New Year's Eve (2 Songs)", "Scenery in the Mountains (3 Songs)", and new vernacular poems "Welcome Duxiu Out of Prison" are full of youthful atmosphere and inspire people to move forward bravely. Nowadays, the development of Leting cultural and artistic undertakings is thriving, and has been affirmed and commended by the national and provincial and municipal cultural departments for many times, and the County Poetry Association has twice been rated as an advanced collective of poetry and education by the Provincial Poetry Association, and the County Federation of Literary and Art Circles has been rated as one of the top ten collectives of civil servants with people's satisfaction by the Hebei Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
