Mazda CX-70 unveiled! Jointly build a "special car" with Changan, but also look at Highlander?

A few days ago, Zhidian Travel learned that Mazda's new CX-70 has made its debut in overseas markets, and the new car is planned to go on sale in the second half of this year. At the same time, Changan Mazda's internal code name J90A model is also expected to make its debut at the Beijing Auto Show that opened in April this year, the new car is expected to be named "CX-70", and jointly built with Changan Automobile, and the main competitors in the same class include Volkswagen Tiguan L, Toyota Highlander, Haval H6 and Geely Xingyue L and other models.

As can be seen from the official pictures of the new car, Mazda's all-new CX-70 is equipped with a blackened dot matrix grille at the head, and the shape of the LED headlight clusters on both sides is also consistent with the CX-60 model in overseas markets. At the rear, a concealed exhaust layout is used, and the LED taillight clusters above are the same design elements as the brand's CX-60 and 90 series models.

In terms of power, Mazda's all-new CX-70 will be equipped with a 3.3T six-cylinder turbocharged engine + mild hybrid system, a 2.5L plug-in hybrid engine, and the transmission system is matched with an 8-speed automatic manual transmission, and a four-wheel drive system is provided. The locally-produced CX-70 model will be built on the Changan EPA hybrid platform (compatible with pure electric and extended range power), and a "special version" model will be launched for consumers to buy.
