Stimulated by the news that Musk said that "the first human patient has received an implant from his brain-computer interface company Neuralink and is currently recovering well", a number of human brain engineering concept stocks strengthened intraday on January 30. The market view is that brain-computer interface technology has a wide range of application prospects and is expected to become an important bridge between the real world and the digital world in the future. As a popular industry in the market, human brain engineering concept stocks have also been sought after by a number of well-known investors, such as "super bull scatter" Ge Weidong, Wang Xiaoan, and Zhao Jianping have already participated in it.
The brain-computer interface industry ushered in a major breakthrough in the concept company's strong limit
On January 30, Beijing time, Musk announced in a post on a platform that the first human patient had received an implant from his brain-computer interface company Neuralink on the 29th and was currently recovering well. Preliminary results show that neuronal spike detection shows good prospects.
Musk then added, "Just think about controlling your phone or computer, and use them to control almost any device." The initial users will be those who have lost their limbs. Imagine if Stephen Hawking could communicate faster than a typist or auctioneer. That's what we're aiming for. ”
In another tweet, Musk said that Neuralink's first product will be named "Telepathy" (see Figure 1).
Affected by this news, the A-share human brain engineering concept sector heard changes on the same day, Sanbo Brain Science rose 11.4%, innovative medical had a strong daily limit, Oriental Zhongke rose more than 5%, and iFLYTEK, Zhongke Information, and Hanwei Technology also followed suit throughout the day.
The brain-computer interface core is a new communication and control technology established between the human or animal brain and computers or other electronic devices, which does not rely on the conventional brain information output pathway (peripheral nerve and muscle tissue), and is mainly classified into three categories: "non-invasive (extra-brain)", "invasive" and "semi-invasive". Neuralink, founded by Musk, uses an invasive method that implants electrodes directly into the cerebral cortex through surgery and other means to obtain high-quality nerve signals.
At present, the mainland has formed a whole industry chain of brain-computer interface covering the basic layer, technical layer and application layer. At the "Brain-Computer Interface Innovation and Development Forum" of the 2023 Zhongguancun Forum held on May 29, 2023, the chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology introduced that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will take brain-computer interface as an important direction for cultivating future industrial development, strengthen the exploration of brain-computer interface application scenarios, and accelerate the vigorous development of the brain-computer interface industry. From the perspective of the brain-computer interface industry chain, the upstream mainly includes software and hardware equipment such as electrodes, algorithms, BCI chips, etc., the midstream is brain-computer interface-related enterprises and partners, and the downstream is the application field, mostly concentrated in the field of scientific research equipment and medical health.
From the perspective of market prospects, McKinsey gave an estimate, which believes that the potential market size of global brain-computer interface medical applications is expected to reach $40 billion in 2030 and $145 billion in 2040. Among them, the potential application scale of serious medical care focusing on the treatment of central nervous system diseases is expected to be US$15 billion in 2030 and US$85 billion in 2040, while the potential application scale of consumer medical care focusing on emotion assessment and intervention is expected to be US$25 billion in 2030 and US$60 billion in 2040.
Polarization of performance Guanhao Bio's annual report performance doubled and is expected to increase
For example, among the 20 constituent stocks in the current A-share market, only 8 companies such as Guanhao Biotechnology, Century Huatong, and Xiangyu Medical have made profits in the first three quarters of 2023, while achieving year-on-year growth in total operating income and net profit (see Table 1).
Combined with the annual report appointment disclosure schedule released by the exchange, although the official annual report of the human brain engineering concept company will not be unveiled by Guanhao Biotech to meet investors on March 6, at present, 6 of the companies have released the 2023 annual report performance forecast in advance, and Guanhao Biotech, Xiangyu Medical, Yanshan Technology, and iFLYTEK are all expected to be profitable and grow in 2023 (see Table 2).
At present, the annual report growth of Guanhao Biotech is expected to be the best, and the company announced on January 26 that it actively explored the market during the reporting period, and the operating income of some membrane products, benvitimod cream, and cell technology services increased compared with the same period last year. In addition, investment losses and asset impairment losses during the period decreased significantly compared with the same period last year. At the same time, the company has continuously strengthened internal management and actively carried out the work of reducing costs and increasing efficiency, with remarkable results. Therefore, it is expected that the net profit for the whole year will be 28 million yuan ~ 33 million yuan, an increase of 109.1% ~ 110.27% over the same period last year.
Xiangyu Medical, a science and technology innovation board company, is also expected to create a net profit of 220 million yuan ~ 240 million yuan for the whole year, with a year-on-year increase of 75.34% ~ 91.28%. The reason for the growth is that the company has always attached importance to the research and development of new products, constantly enriched the rehabilitation product line, and strengthened the layout of the marketing network and the construction of the marketing system.
Ge Weidong, Wang Xiaoan and other Niu San bigwigs have already laid out in advance
As a popular industry in the capital market, the human brain engineering concept company has been sought after by a number of well-known investors.
Since logging on the GEM in May 2023, in the 2023 interim report of Sanbo Brain's first financial report, Zhao Jianping, the "super bull scatter", ranked the company's largest shareholder with a position of 1.4645 million shares, although the company's stock price has been adjusted to a certain extent soon after listing, it has not prevented Zhao Jianping from continuing to be optimistic about it, at the end of the third quarter of 2023, Zhao Jianping continued to be the company's largest circulating shareholder, and the number of shares increased by 20,000 shares compared with the previous reporting period (see Figure 2).
At the same time as Zhao Jianping's position building, Wang Xiaoan also completed the layout of human brain engineering concept stocks in the second quarter of 2023, and the company he is optimistic about is Zhongke Information. At the end of the second quarter and the end of the third quarter of 2023, Wang Xiaoan continued to rank as the second largest outstanding shareholder of the company with a position of 7.05 million shares (see Figure 3).

Combined with the just-concluded 2023 fund quarterly report, public funds have repositioned 13 of these companies, and the largest number of funds participating in iFLYTEK, with a total of 220 products included in the top ten heavy stocks at the end of the fourth quarter of 2023. International Medical and Century Huatong have also been favored by more than 20 public fund products, and were included in the top ten heavy stocks at the end of the fourth quarter.
In addition, it was observed that since the beginning of this year, the attention of major institutions to brain-computer interface has also increased, and 7 concept stocks in the sector have been researched and investigated by major institutions. Tom Cat, iFLYTEK, Xiangyu Medical, etc. have received "onlookers" from more than 20 institutions (see Table 3).
