On the morning of January 30, the Third Session of the 16th Qujiang District People's Congress held its second plenary meeting to listen to the work report of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, the work report of the District People's Court, and the work report of the District People's Procuratorate.

Pan Ji, director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, made a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress. The report pointed out that 2023 is the first year for the full implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the "88 Strategy". Over the past year, under the strong leadership of the District Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress has been guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on the inspection of Zhejiang, firmly defending the "two establishments" and resolutely achieving the "two maintenances". It has undertaken various responsibilities entrusted by the Constitution and laws with high standards, achieved remarkable results in various tasks, and successfully completed the goals and tasks set by the Second Session of the 16th District People's Congress.
The report emphasizes that in 2024, under the strong leadership of the District Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress should adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on the inspection of Zhejiang, closely follow the "five major actions" of the District Committee, adhere to the organic unity of the party's leadership, the people being the masters of the country, and governing the country according to law, and strengthen the "four organs" Construction, amplify the advantages of the system, actively carry out work, continue to develop the whole process of people's democracy, and contribute to the continuous deepening of the construction of the "five cities" and the efforts to build a "youth Qujiang". It is necessary to be more firm and resolute in adhering to the party's overall leadership, more effective and promising in implementing the decisions and deployments of the district committee, more attentive and affectionate in improving the quality of people's lives, more effective in promoting the construction of "Qujiang under the rule of law", more in-depth and practical in practicing whole-process people's democracy, more strict and pragmatic in strengthening the construction of the people's congress itself, persist in seeking progress while maintaining stability and promote the high-quality development of the work of the people's congress, and make unremitting efforts to create a new situation in the construction of the "five cities" and create a new image of "youth Qujiang". The congress also listened to the work report of the District People's Court delivered by Zhou Xiaoqing, President of the District People's Court, and the work report of the District People's Procuratorate delivered by Yao Junhong, Procurator General of the District People's Procuratorate; adopted the decision on accepting the resignation request; adopted the election method for the third session of the 16th Qujiang District People's Congress; adopted the voting method for the 2024 people's livelihood practical projects of the district government; and adopted the satisfaction evaluation method for the implementation of the government's livelihood practical projects.
