On January 26, the 2023 Municipal Financial Work Conference was held. The meeting conveyed the spirit of the autonomous region's financial work conference, summarized the city's financial work in 2023, analyzed the current situation, and studied and deployed the key financial work this year.
Yu Xingguo, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and executive vice mayor, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
The meeting pointed out that 2023 is the first year for the full implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The city's finance and taxation departments anchor their responsibilities and actively act, adhere to the close combination of theme education and financial work, conscientiously implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and in accordance with the work arrangements of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, to promote the city's economic stability and recovery, stable industrial development, economic vitality enhancement, and continuous improvement of people's livelihood to provide a solid financial guarantee, and have achieved good results beyond expectations.
The meeting required that in 2024, the financial department should conscientiously implement the overall requirements of "active fiscal policies should be moderately strengthened, improve quality and efficiency", and do a good job in increasing the overall planning of financial resources, continuously optimizing the expenditure structure, and adhering to the true nature of people's livelihood finance.
The meeting emphasized that the city's financial department should firmly grasp the strategic positioning of Karamay in the overall situation of Xinjiang and the whole country, clarify the financial management idea of concentrating financial resources to do big things, adhere to the concept of strict economy and hard life, accurately grasp the principle of ensuring people's livelihood and doing what it can, and boldly innovate around improving the efficiency of financial funds and policy effects, so as to make greater contributions to promoting the high-quality economic and social development of Karamay.
