When I returned to the countryside during the winter vacation, I found that the environmental conditions such as the appearance of the village, roads, drinking water, and latrines had undergone earth-shaking changes compared with the past, which also showed that the important strategy of "new rural construction" implemented by the government in order to promote rural modernization and rural revitalization has achieved initial results.
But there are a few things that make me feel the importance of "cultural education" in rural development. 1) In the past, the proportion of middle-aged and elderly people was high, and they could not make full use of the convenience brought by modern technology. For example, you can't play with "smartphones". The whole box of "Band-Aids" I put at home was discarded by my mother, and when the village doctor found it, she took it back and asked her mother, who replied, "I don't know what it is for."
2) My textbooks, textbooks, and materials in college, high school, and before were burned by my brother when he wiped the car or used it as a starting object. I regretted it for a long time, and I "erased" my "knowledge" process alive.
3) When I went home to visit my seriously ill father, I was looking for spare equipment such as "sputum suction device and stomach tube" that my mother had bought when she was sick, but I found "coffee, milk tea, sausage" and other items that I had brought back before. Those are all good things that I usually "can't bear", but who knows that the "pearl dust" has been abandoned like "contemptible"!
My brother said he couldn't get used to it. I'm not used to eating "spicy"!"I had a heart for the bright moon, but I didn't know that the bright moon shone on the ditch." The brain is solidified, I don't want to change, and I let it go.
4) The family has a few acres of thin land, and now only grows corn and peanuts. Why don't you try to grow some high-value crops such as vegetables, sweet potatoes, and hemp yams? Answers: "If you don't have technology, you don't dare to invest indiscriminately," "Why don't you learn new technologies," and "You don't have that much spare time"!
Through several things from my own experience, the "New Countryside Construction" is a comprehensive project, which requires the joint efforts of the government, farmers and all sectors of society to achieve the coordinated development of rural and urban areas, and promote the modernization and revitalization of China's rural areas.
To put it deeply, the construction of the new countryside is to advocate civilization and overcome ignorant thinking. Civilization refers to the progress and development in culture, science and technology, morality, law, etc. Ignorance, on the other hand, refers to a lack of knowledge, education, and rational thinking, as well as a lack of understanding of society, nature, and human beings themselves.
The progress of civilization is the overcoming and transcendence of ignorance. Through the development of education and training, science, and culture, the people can improve their knowledge and thinking ability, shake off the shackles of ignorance, and achieve personal and rural development.
