TEAMGROUP's world's first Tough PCIe 5.0 SSD: 14GB/s without fan

author:Drive the house

Fast Technology reported on January 29 that almost all consumer-grade PCIe 5.0 SSDs currently use Phison E26 main control, not only the performance can not be fully blooded, the first wave is only 10GB/s, and the second wave of upgraded version is only about 12GB/s, and the power consumption and heat are difficult to control, and active fans are generally used.

Teamgroup today released the new T-Force GE PRO PCIe 5.0 SSD, which debuts with the highly anticipated InnoChina IG5666, which is manufactured on a 12nm process, with a multi-core design and supports 4096-bit LDPC ECC, with perfect performance and very low power consumption.

The capacity is 1/2/4TB, I don't know which 3D TLC flash memory, the transfer rate is up to 2400MT/s, and it comes with a cache.

The sequential read and write speeds of 2/4TB can reach 14GB/s and 11.8GB/s, in which the read has squeezed out the bandwidth of PCIe 5.0 x4, but there is still room for improvement in write.

The 1TB one is a bit lower, only 11.7GB/s and 9.5GB/s.

Five-year warranty, the maximum write volume is 2800TBW, 1400TBW, 700TBW, and an average of 0.38 full-disk writes per day, which is the standard level.

The point is, it doesn't even require any cooling vests!

It will be available from February 9, and the price has not yet been announced.
