According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of January 26-27, during a military operation against the country, the enemy deployed four Shahed-136/131 attack drones to strike at Ukraine. The drones were launched from the south-eastern region, which is located in Primorye-Akhtarsk, Russian Federation.
Ukrainian air defense systems reacted quickly, successfully shooting down all four drones that tried to invade airspace before they entered the skies over Kirovolad Oblast. In addition, the Russian army fired an Iskander-M missile from its Rostov region to Ukraine's Donetsk region. Despite these hostilities, no casualties were reported.
There have been a number of fighting clashes on the territory of Ukraine. A total of 98 combat clashes were reported over the past day. During these conflicts, the Russian side used S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles to launch 8 missile strikes on civilian infrastructure in Donetsk and Kherson oblasts, 4 air strikes, and 78 multiple launch rocket systems carried out strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops and military bases.
In addition, the Russian side carried out another air strike, using four Shahed-136/131 attack drones. However, Ukraine's air defense forces reacted quickly and managed to destroy all the drones.
In the morning of the same day, the Russian side also attacked civilian infrastructure in the city of Slavyansk, Donetsk region, with Iskander ballistic missiles. At the same time, more than 120 settlements in the Chernyev, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were subjected to air strikes.
Ukrainian forces have successfully repelled Russian attacks at several strategic points. In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic group Pivinich (North), the Ukrainian army showed firm determination on the Sifshchyna and Slobo fronts, successfully stopping attempts by Russian units to disrupt the border area. At the same time, Russia has increased the density of minefields along the state border in Belgorod Oblast, but Ukrainian troops are still holding their ground and defending the national territory.
In the area under the responsibility of the Hortitsa Operational Strategic Group on the Kupyansk front, Ukrainian troops heroically resisted near Tabaiivka, successfully repelling 13 Russian offensives. In addition, in the Stellmakhivka region of the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions, the Ukrainian army has also shown great combat effectiveness.
On the Lyman front, Ukrainian soldiers heroically resisted near Terny and Tosk (Donetsk Oblast), successfully repelling eight Russian attacks. Similarly, on the Bakhmut front, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to repel 11 Russian offensives near Bohdanivka, Ivanivsk, Klishchivka and Andriivka (Donetsk Oblast).
On the Kherson front, under the responsibility of the strategic group of the Odessa operation, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground, working to expand the established bridgehead. Despite the onslaught of Russian forces, Ukrainian forces have shown stubborn resistance and managed to withstand four enemy attacks.
In the process, Ukrainian soldiers not only defended the national territory, but also actively inflicted casualties on the Russian occupation forces in terms of manpower and equipment, exhausting the Russians on the entire front line.
