Wu Lao, 95 years old this year, is the most caring charity model of the 7th China Charity Award, the 2015 Person of the Year of "Moving China", the winner of the 6th National Moral Model Nomination Award, the National Advanced Individual for Social Poverty Alleviation, the "Outstanding Communist Party Member" of Jiangsu Province, and the oldest Jianghai volunteer in Nantong City. At present, Wu Lao is physically tough and energetic. Wu Lao's life is extremely frugal, and he usually eats the vegetables he grows. Although he lived a hard life, he was willing to give charity, and most of the meager income he earned from sharpening his knife was used for charity.
The old man did not go to school and only began to learn to write at the age of 86. The old man said that he did not receive a good education when he was a child, but now he insists on reading newspapers and listening to the radio every day. At the age of 88, he began to copy newspapers, and has copied several large books so far, and his handwriting is neat. Recently, the old man practiced writing Fu characters at home, and he said that as long as he was diligent and practiced every day, there was no bad writing.
