Among them, a number of apps such as Xianyu, AutoNavi Map, and Xia Kitchen have been notified of "random jumping" in pop-up windows on the opening screen, and many game apps have compulsory, frequent, and excessive requests for permissions and other illegal collection of personal information.
In this notification list, 10 apps such as Xianyu, Gaode Map, Xia Kitchen, and Xiudong have "random jumps" in the pop-up window of the opening screen. There are 4 apps that have been notified that "the information window does not provide a close or exit sign".
The reporter noticed that a number of game products appeared in the list of violations, such as Car Simulator 2019, Baoding Mahjong, 3733 Game Box, etc., involving deception, misleading and forcing users. Among them, the "Three Kingdoms: Kyushu War" game app produced by Quanzhou Zhufeng Software Co., Ltd. involved illegal collection and use of personal information, forcing users to use the targeted push function, and compulsory, frequent, and excessive requests for permissions by the App.
In addition to the violating App, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also announced 6 illegal SDKs this time, namely the one-click login SDK and Android-UAIDSDK under Beijing Bitbank Technology Co., Ltd., the mobile application subscription SDK under Beijing Magic Factory Technology Co., Ltd., the Xiao7 mobile game SDK under Shenzhen Shangmi Network Technology Co., Ltd., the AppicAdSDK under Beijing Jinyu Interactive Technology Co., Ltd. and the Dingxiang non-inductive verification SDK under Beijing Dingxiang Technology Co., Ltd.
Among them, the mobile application subscription SDK and the top elephant non-sense verification SDK both involve illegal collection of personal information, the SDK is mandatory, frequent, and excessively requests for permissions, and the SDK usage instructions are incomplete.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology requires that apps and SDKs on the above list should be rectified in accordance with relevant provisions, and where the rectification is not in place, relevant disposal work will be organized in accordance with laws and regulations.
In February 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued the Notice on Further Improving the Service Capabilities of Mobile Internet Applications, requiring that frequent pop-ups should not interfere with users' normal use, or use high-sensitivity "shake" and other methods that can easily cause false triggers to induce users to operate.
The Measures for the Administration of Internet Advertising, which came into effect on May 1, 2023, also clearly stipulate that "when publishing Internet advertisements in the form of pop-ups, advertisers and advertisement publishers shall prominently display a close sign to ensure one-click closure." ”
