Decanter centrifuge is the abbreviation of horizontal screw discharge sedimentation centrifuge, which is a kind of spiral discharge sedimentation centrifuge. It is mainly composed of a high-speed drum, a screw conveyor with a hollow shaft, and a differential with a hollow shaft that has the same rotation speed as the drum and a slightly lower speed than the drum. Due to its low density and small centrifugal force, water can only form a liquid layer on the inside of the solid ring layer, which is called the liquid ring layer. Due to the different speeds of the spiral and the drum, there is a relative movement (i.e., the speed difference), the sludge of the solid ring layer is slowly pushed to the cone end of the drum by the relative motion of the spiral and the drum, and after passing through the drying zone, it is continuously discharged by the outlet of the circumferential distribution of the drum, and the liquid of the liquid ring layer is continuously discharged from the weir mouth to the outside of the drum by gravity to form a separating liquid.
