The ISU-122-2 is no ordinary tank, its historical origins can be traced back to the joint design of the Ural Locomotive Plant, Plant No. 100 and Plant No. 9 of the "Bear" self-propelled gun. In those days, the idea of twin guns was quite advanced, allowing for both salvo bursts and alternating fire to increase the rate of fire. However, the advanced design meant a high level of difficulty, and the project was halted in 1946 for various reasons, but fortunately World of Tanks gave it a chance to be "resurrected"!
As the second double-barreled tank destroyer in the game, the ISU-122-2's firepower parameters are quite good. The AP penetration of the Silver Coin Bullet reaches 258, and the penetration depth of the Gold Coin Bullet HEAT is 300, which can easily penetrate most level 8 cars with the Silver Coin Bullet, which is very suitable for playing money. Although the paper protection data of the ISU-122-2 looks quite good, after all, it is a tank destroyer, and the gun shield with the most materials can only resist light artillery shells and some HE (except for the BZ-176), and the HP of the whole vehicle is only 1300 points. The ISU-122-2's maneuverability is acceptable – a top speed of 40 km/h is a decent amount for a TD to keep up with his teammates, and a reverse speed of 20 km/h allows it to quickly return to cover after firing, which is coveted by many TDs in its class.
