Founded in 1953, the Zhouzhi County Troupe is one of the experimental troupes for the revitalization of Qinhua in Shaanxi Province. In the 40 years after the reorganization in 1984, it has always adhered to the 16-character principle of "no one has me, no one has me, no one has me, no one is new, and I am fine, and I win by quality", and has insisted on performing in the front line all year round. In April 2020, Xi'an Performing Arts Group officially hosted the Zhouzhi County Troupe, adhering to the reform direction of "not only to let the troupe live, but also to become popular", and the renamed Xi'an Performing Arts Group Zhouzhi Troupe was included in the management and operation system of Xi'an Performing Arts Group, enjoying a series of resource tilt support such as "pairing" and resource sharing with the century-old Sanyi Society, and embarked on the fast track of development on the basis of retaining its own characteristics. The representative works of the troupe mainly include "Splitting the Mountain to Save the Mother", "Mother and Son Hate", "Down to the East of the River", "Cutting the Yellow Robe", "The Female General of the Yang Gate", "Colorful Hada", "The Princess's Love", as well as the Fengshen Bang Liantai drama "Into the Sister", "The Yellow River Array" and so on. It has been rated as a national advanced cultural collective, a national advanced collective of cultural construction of "serving farmers and serving the grassroots" and many other honors.
With a long history of more than 70 years, the Zhouzhi Troupe has experienced several ups and downs, several ups and downs, the hardships and bitterness of entrepreneurship, and the joy and pride of harvest. In the early 80s of the last century, after the troupe suffered a toss from the detachment and the reunion, the county troupe was discouraged and greatly damaged. In 1983, the county party committee and county government had no choice but to make the decision to disband the troupe, but the cultural county could not do without the troupe, so in June of the following year, the 12 backbones retained by the original troupe merged with more than 40 drama school students who had studied art for six years, and recruited individual actors in the society to form a new Zhouzhi County troupe, with Wang Penghui as secretary and head of the troupe. After taking office, head Wang drastically rectified discipline, rectified the environment, restored power supply, repaired buildings, paid back wages to the comrades left behind by the original troupe, purchased new theater boxes and rehearsed more than a dozen major plays, and then began to perform in the countryside with a new look, and every performance was warmly appreciated.
Once, when singing a play against the stage with the brother troupe, the other party performed "Splitting the Mountain to Save the Mother", and the magical stage installation made Gao Guangjie feel the charm of mythological drama. At his suggestion, the troupe produced a unique and unique "Yellow River Formation", and each performance was full, and the audience of all ages was drunk. Gao Guangjie, who is nearly eighty years old but still insists on performing with the troupe, recalled that in 1986, he saw an article ""Fengshen Bang" saved a drama", introducing the grand occasion of Zhejiang Xinchang being rescued by the only drama in the country because of the drama "Fengshen Bang", and then found in the bookstore that the six-episode drama comic book "Fengshen Bang" performed by this troupe, coupled with the inspiration of "Yellow River Array", he suggested that the troupe arrange "Fengshen Bang". After Wang Penghui understood the situation, he immediately made a decision and sent a group of four of us to go to Jiangnan to copy back the script, and it took two years to perform in the off-season, and the troupe discharged four Qin dialect and stage play "Fengshen Bang". At that time, the TV series "Fengshen Bang" had not yet been broadcast, the legendary storyline, the huge performance lineup, the chaotic lighting sets, and the wonderful special effects poured the audience of all ages as soon as it was staged. The troupe's 16-character policy of running a troupe was also gradually summarized and determined from that time.
