Asian Cup: South Korea 3-3 Malaysia, 1/8 finals to avoid Japan, Son Heung-min scored in a row
In the third round of Group E of the Asian Cup group stage, South Korea faced Malaysia at Janoub Stadium. In the first half, Zheng Youyong scored with a header, and Son Heung-min's powerful shot was saved. In the 51st minute, Faisal Halim equalized and Arif Ayman scored from the spot. In the 83rd minute, Hazmi accidentally set himself up for an own goal. In stoppage time, Son Heung-min scored from the penalty spot and Morales volleyed in to equalize. In the end, South Korea drew 3-3 with Malaysia, and in the 1/8 finals, South Korea will avoid Japan and face the top of Group F.
