Recently, sponsored by the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Dongli District, and undertaken by the Tianjin Mass Art Museum and the Dongli District Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau, the 32nd "Dongli Cup" Liang Bin Novel Selection has been successfully concluded.
This selection will be published through Tianjin Daily, Jinyun and other media, and the works will be collected through the national culture (group art) museum system. It attracted enthusiastic responses from authors from more than 10 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, and more writers from Zhuang, Hui, Manchu, Tibetan, Tujia, and Chuanqing people participated in the event. A total of 718 works were collected.
The selection activity is divided into three rounds: preliminary evaluation, middle evaluation and final evaluation. Based on the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness, a total of 1 Toray Literary Award, 10 New Writers and New Writers Award, 2 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes, and 8 Excellence Awards were awarded for novels and novellas, and 4 First Prizes, 6 Second Prizes, 8 Third Prizes, and 20 Excellence Awards were awarded for short stories and novels.
This selection activity presents three significant characteristics: First, it covers a wide range. It has been actively supported by more than 10 provincial and municipal cultural (group art) museums, and writers from many ethnic minorities such as Zhuang, Tibetan, Hui, Tujia, and Chuanqing people participated, which not only provided diversified and excellent texts for mass literature, but also promoted the integration of various ethnic cultures. Second, the quality of the works is high. In this selection, the graded awards were restored, and the "Toray Literary Award" was established. Among the entries for the event, many of them were published in large literary journals such as "People's Literature", "October", "Harvest", "Yangtze River Literature and Art", and "Novel Monthly". More and more backbones of literary creation have emerged through the "Toray Cup" platform, becoming regional leaders and injecting vitality into the development of mass literature across the country. Third, the incentive effect is significant. In this year's selection activity, the number of works in the juvenile group has increased by 1/3 compared with last year, and the works are rich in creativity and vivid brushwork, and the overall level has been greatly improved.
