Last night, there was a lot of exciting new news and revelations about the upcoming LEGO set in 2024. The most striking of these is the first details about the LEGO Zelda set that will be released later this year.
The information was first revealed by the Brickmerge website, who posted a lot of tidbits last night and leaked some previously undisclosed set information. Includes a set numbered 77092, which is reportedly part of the LEGO Zelda collection.
Following the LEGO Animal Crossing set, LEGO Super Mario and LEGO Sonic are also launching new game-themed worlds in 2024.
Regarding the upcoming Zelda set, rumors have it that it could be the "Deku Tree" set. About a year ago, Lego leaked the initial concept of the set, but this information has not been officially confirmed.
According to Brickmerge, the Zelda set will contain up to 2,500 parts and is expected to be released in September 2024. The exact price is not yet known, but it is expected to be between 200 and 300 euros, which could be close to the upper end of this price range. Of course, this will also be another 18+ set for adult LEGO lovers, which will probably be sold directly by LEGO as a D2C set.
More than a year ago, LEGO officially banned the submission of new designs for The Legend of Zelda on its IDEAS platform, further intensifying the anticipation of official LEGO Zelda sets. This isn't always the case, but sometimes it's a sign that LEGO is working on a collection.
It will be interesting to see if the LEGO Legend of Zelda set is closer to the first draft of last year's market research. Given that many of the designs leaked at the time were relatively rudimentary, the LEGO Zelda set may have evolved visually.
