On January 12, 2024, the second season of the series of "Community Correction Law" promotional sitcom "Growth", carefully created and choreographed by the Pudong New Area Justice Bureau, officially opened at the Zhoujiadu Community Cultural Center. The community corrections sitcom is an important achievement of Pudong New Area's community corrections implementation of the concept of combining supervision and management with education and assistance, and innovating the form of education and assistance, not only expanding the popularization rate of community corrections laws and regulations, but also making community corrections education more vivid, intuitive, and in-depth, helping community corrections subjects to remember various regulatory provisions and smoothly return to society.
On the basis of the first season of "New Life", the sitcom integrates telecommunications network fraud, online gambling and key regulatory norms for community corrections, interprets the law with cases, and interprets community corrections reports, check-in, going out, asking for leave, public welfare activities and other link norms, so that community corrections subjects know and understand community corrections laws and regulations, help them establish a sense of the rule of law and rules, and become law-abiding citizens. The sitcom is choreographed and performed by front-line community corrections workers, including corrections police officers and social workers, and will be toured in various neighborhood and town judicial offices in the future.
In the kick-off activity, the staff performed a complete repertoire of multiple scenes, and arranged test tests, knowledge quizzes, feelings sharing and other links. Many of the correction subjects expressed their welcome and love for this type of education, and also said that they would abide by the regulations and work hard to survive the correction period.
Sun Yu, deputy director of the Pudong New Area Bureau of Justice, attended the event and made a concluding speech. Sun Yu said that the innovative role and importance of the community corrections law popularization education sitcom lies in the fact that this form has changed the previous "cramming" education method and improved the fun, practicability and effectiveness of community corrections education. The first season of the sitcom "New Life" has been included in the Learning Power Platform, and after three years, the second season of "Growth" continues to create innovation, hoping that community corrections subjects can enhance their legal awareness and strengthen the concept of the rule of law through educational activities, and also hope that "Growth" will achieve better and broader social benefits. The New District Bureau of Justice will continue to fully integrate resources, innovate forms of education, deepen the effectiveness of assistance, and strive to achieve the smooth transformation and return of special objects.
