But astronomers did not discover it directly, to be precise, when detecting quasars, they were outlined by the light of quasars and outlined part of the structure of the large ring, and then realized the existence of the large ring, and although the quasar is the brightest object in the universe, it is actually a supermassive black hole, more precisely, a supermassive black hole located in the center of the galaxy.
We all know that black holes cannot be seen directly, and the current way to discover black holes is to detect the radiation of black holes, and the light and heat of radiation mainly come from the accretion disk when the black hole swallows matter, so when there is a supermassive black hole in the center of a galaxy, and there is a large amount of matter near it, the black hole will frantically devour the matter in the galaxy, and release strong electromagnetic radiation in the process, which is a quasar.
The quasars discovered so far are billions of light-years away from the earth or even tens of billions of light-years, but because their essence is a supermassive black hole that is devouring matter, the brightness is generally brighter than the center in the Milky Way, and the structure of the large ring illuminated by the quasar is theoretically impossible to exist, because all the celestial systems in our universe are affected by gravity, and it is impossible to increase indefinitely, and this ring-shaped structure with a diameter of 1.3 billion light-years should have been torn apart by gravity.
However, it was discovered so peacefully, and there are several such giant structures in the universe, some even reaching 3.3 billion light years, accounting for 7% of the observable universe, but to this range, astronomers are not worried, because on the scale of billions to tens of billions of light years, there is indeed a great wall of the universe in the universe, and the fiber network structure composed of these great walls of the universe and the cosmic void is the top layer of the current cosmic structure.
