Borussia Dortmund striker Reus was furious, blasting the media for fabricating his plans to mutiny to force manager Edin Terzic away.
Borussia Dortmund played away to Augsburg in the Bundesliga three weeks ago, and when the game was tied 1-1 in the 57th minute, Edin Terzic replaced Marco Reus and replaced the 21-year-old, but neither team could score again and ended in a draw.
After the game, it was widely reported in the German media that Reus has been at odds with Edin Terzic since then, and plans to oust the manager with his status as a big brother in the dressing room. Reus flatly denied that the bombardment of the media was groundless: "There is no such thing as a mutiny, neither me nor the other players. I've been through a lot in my career and don't get easily influenced by negative press, but this accusation made me angry and crossed the line, so I didn't want to leave it at that."
Reuss emphasised that his relationship with Edin Terzic was close and good, but admitted that he was unhappy when he was substituted: "I realised that my reaction when I was substituted seemed to show dissatisfaction with him. I shouldn't have shown my disappointment like that, that's not right. At that point, I need to control my emotions better." In addition, Reus missed Tuesday's friendly against Standard Liege because his wife is about to have a baby and needs his company.
