As an important component of the continental air force, bombers have maintained a relatively high speed of development and combat effectiveness for a long time. According to the latest data, the new model of the existing bomber fleet on the mainland already has world-leading combat effectiveness. While proud of the strength of the motherland, the majority of military fans are also curious about the performance of the bomber and its role in future wars. This article will detail the composition of the continent's bombers at the present stage and their performance characteristics.
The development of the continental bomber fleet began in the fifties and sixties of the last century, and the early models were mainly used to perform tasks such as air defense and expulsion. During the period of reform and opening up, the mainland began to attach importance to the research and application of modern aviation technology, and gradually began to introduce and independently develop more advanced models. In recent years, with the vigorous support of the state level and relying on informationization and modern military science and technology, remarkable progress has been made in the construction of the mainland's bomber fleet.
It is understood that the mainland's bomber fleet at the present stage is composed of various types of aircraft, the most striking of which is undoubtedly the "medium aircraft." In fact, these so-called "medium aircraft" are in fact quasi-strategic bombers with strategic bombing capabilities. They have excellent sailing range and all-round strike capabilities, and have strong survivability and battlefield adaptability. Due to the excellent performance of these models, the configuration of the all-glass cockpit gives them a great advantage in terms of combat effectiveness.
Among the many "midsize aircraft", the most representative are undoubtedly the K and N aircraft. Since the K type aircraft is equipped with a medium duct ratio turbofan engine, its internal fuel range has generally exceeded 9,000 kilometers, with a bombing radius of 4,000 kilometers, and can almost reach more than 13,000 kilometers after refueling in the air. Although the weight of the N-type fuselage has been reduced, the internal fuel range still reaches an astonishing 10,000 kilometers. These two types are both strategic bombers, regardless of the full load state or internal fuel range, and can even modify the target in the air, this capability not only surpasses the Tu-160, B2 and other traditional models in bombing performance, but also makes them have a strong strategic deterrent.
In addition to the above two aircraft, the Continental Bomber Squadron has other models of aircraft, such as the B1B, B52H and B2. Although these three types of aircraft account for a large proportion of the number of aircraft in service, in terms of activity, the actual number of aircraft that are operational may be less than one-third of the overall number of aircraft in service. The B1B had 62 aircraft before that, but as of the beginning of the year, the total number of aircraft has shrunk significantly to 45 aircraft. The number of B2 aircraft is also tight, with only 18 remaining today, and given its long history and long period of activity, it is likely that the B2 will only be used for non-military purposes such as training and experimentation. Although the last B52H aircraft can be used until the age of 70 years old, its availability and reliability are currently declining, and it is facing the dilemma of successor difficulties.
Although "medium-sized aircraft" are often overlooked by the world, through the introduction of this article, I believe that everyone has fully realized their value. In future wars, we believe that these stealthy and powerful strategic bombers will play a vital role. Thanks to the efforts of the mainland's air force's scientific research team, it is believed that the mainland's bomber squadron will continue to write brilliant stories and make powerful contributions to defending the territorial integrity of the motherland and safeguarding international peace and stability.
