Fresh dead shrimp have a smooth surface, and stale dead shrimp can harbor a lot of bacteria, resulting in a sticky surface.

Therefore, when picking chilled prawns, it is recommended to buy shrimp with a curved body, not a straight shrimp body.

Most of the prawns are blue-gray in color, and some are red. If you notice that the color is whitish or black, it is a problem. The whitish prawns may have been frozen for too long, losing a lot of moisture, and the flesh is firewood; the blackened prawns are spoiled and have bacteria, even if they are given away for free, they are not good for the body.
4. Prawns with discolored shrimp heads
Normal fresh prawns, the shrimp head will not change color, and the shrimp body is the same color. If the storage conditions are not good, the shrimp head will change color, turn red or black, and such prawns will not be fresh, so don't buy them.
5. Smell the smelly prawns
Fresh prawns, whether live or dead, have only a faint fishy smell and almost nothing else. If you smell sour, foul or pungent odor, it means that the prawns have spoiled and have grown bacteria, or they have been soaked in medicated water, which are all problematic prawns, so don't buy them.
