One day, a member of the Flying Saucer Park Pet Self-Management Team was walking his dog in the community when he found a stray cat with a broken forelimb and was in urgent need of rescue, so he immediately sent the relevant situation to the group for help. After receiving the news, the team members immediately decided to raise funds to send the kitten to the pet clinic for treatment.
"Today's work time is estimated to be a bit rushed. Forget it, it's important to save your life!" Due to the suddenness of the incident, the team members who received the task immediately made a decision and escorted the kitten to the hospital.
As the kitten was so injured that it needed to be amputated, the team members simultaneously raised funds online to fully support the rescue operation. After an hour of surgical treatment, the kitten was successfully out of danger.
The "Pet Alliance Self-Management Group" also named the kitten "Manman", which means "happiness and completeness" and "full of blessings", and at the same time helped the kitten find an adoptive family, so that the kitten bid farewell to the wandering life and had a warm family again.

"At the delivery point of the cat house, we usually choose a hidden location in the community, far away from the residential living area, which is convenient for stray cats to eat, and at the same time, online feeding also avoids the problem of scratches and bites of stray cats caused by feeding. Up to now, more than 4,000 people in the UFO Garden community have paid attention to the cat house, and a total of 164,000 grams of cat food have been fed. It is reported that in 2023, the Minhang District Agriculture and Rural Committee will launch the "Minhang District Stray Cat Sterilization Program", introducing the world-recognized "TNR" (trapping + sterilization + release) model to control the disorderly reproduction of stray cats from the source, and at the same time steadily promote stray cat TNR+ ("trapping + physical examination + deworming + sterilization + release + immunization + fixed-point feeding"), scientific rescue, and prevent the spread of epidemics.
The "Pet Alliance Self-Management Team" of the Flying Saucer Garden Community uses the TNR model to send the stray cats found to the cooperative pet hospital for sterilization, and mark the stray cats to avoid repeated sterilization.
Since 2021, Minhang District has promoted 14 towns, streets and 29 communities in 19 neighborhood committees in Xinzhuang Industrial Zone to carry out TNR+ scientific rescue of stray cats, mobilized pet diagnosis and treatment institutions to give full play to the advantages of the industry, and has rescued a total of 2,286 stray cats so far, which can reduce the birth of 16,000 kittens at a minimum, better control the disorderly breeding of stray cats from the source, reduce the risk of zoonotic disease transmission such as rabies, and carry out Minhang attempts and explorations for scientific rescue of stray cats.
The relevant person in charge of the Minhang District Agriculture and Rural Committee said that the local government will continue to do the scientific rescue of stray cats for a long time through government financial subsidies, local street and town guarantees, residents' love and self-raising and enterprise subsidies. According to the plan, in 2024, more than 1,000 communities in Minhang District are expected to fully roll out the scientific rescue of stray cats, and make the trivial matter of stray cat management a practical and beautiful thing.
