On January 10, Yonhap News Agency and other media reported that North Korea has once again made a tough voice against South Korea. Kim Jong-un recently inspected a military factory and pointed out that South Korea is the "most hostile country" facing North Korea.

According to reports, the military factory that Kim Jong-un inspected this time is mainly responsible for the production of the "Hwasong-11D" missile, and judging from the display screen, the production workshop is full of equipment, and the missile launch vehicles behind Kim Jong-un are densely packed and there is no end in sight. And the "Hwasong-11" is suspected to be the KN-23 that the United States and the West have recently hyped to "appear in Ukraine", also known as the "Russian version of Iskander". The United States believes that Russia is even beginning to receive "military aid" from the DPRK. If the Hwasong-11 enters the war in Ukraine and achieves results, it means that the DPRK's missile industry has indeed achieved high technological attainments.

And Kim Jong-un was also very confident and tough this time, and he made it clear that it was time to treat South Korea as the "most hostile country". Kim Jong-un also accused South Korea of trying to interfere in North Korean affairs and insisting on a "bad showdown." Based on this position, Kim Jong-un believes that a crisis in inter-Korean relations is inevitable, stressing that although North Korea has "overwhelming power," it will not unilaterally provoke trouble, but it will never avoid war. Kim Jong-un warned that if South Korea dares to threaten North Korea's sovereignty and security by means such as launching force, North Korea will use all means to ensure the complete destruction of South Korea.

Kim Jong-un's emphasis on "all means and forces" clearly implies the previous meaning of "countering nuclear weapons with nuclear weapons." North Korea has long been dissatisfied with provocative actions such as "extended deterrence" by the United States and South Korea. In his previous statement, Kim Jong-un also mentioned that he would resolutely counter the United States and South Korea, and as long as the United States and South Korea dared to act, North Korea would resolutely destroy its opponents.

And Kim Jong-un's statement when he inspected the military factory is obviously a show of self-confidence. The "Hwasong-11 Ding" has reduced its specifications, but the strike distance is still 109 kilometers, which is still paper data, and the actual strike distance may be even farther. And the conventional "Hwasong-11" strikes at a distance of more than 400 kilometers and can carry a nuclear warhead. Last year, Kim Jong-un inspected a nuclear bomb factory, and the North Korean side released a picture of the "Volcano-31" nuclear warhead, which should be able to be used with the "Hwasong-11" missile. North Korea's missile program is simply tailor-made for South Korea, because South Korea spans only a few hundred kilometers from north to south, and the "Hwasong-11" can basically cover it, and it can ensure that it can sweep the entire territory of South Korea in minutes.

So Kim Jong-un's warning is not just a verbal description, and if South Korea dares to do it, Seoul may really face the consequences of "ashes". In order to prevent "North Korean military action", South Korea also recently announced a "countdown to invasion" for North Korea and held a "defense drill" in Seoul, which was aimed at simulating the scenario of North Korean troops attacking Seoul according to the script of Hamas's assault on Israel. However, the South Korean training looks more like a show, because it only mobilized more than 1,000 military and police personnel, but if the North Korean army does act, it is likely to be a large-scale attack, and a small group of military and police will not be able to resist it.

Of course, Kim Jong-un's statement also illustrates North Korea's disappointment with South Korea and the United States, and in 2021 Kim Jong-un also made a statement about the "main enemy", when he only emphasized that the "main enemy" was war, not the United States and South Korea. It can be seen that when the DPRK and South Korea are ushering in a short "honeymoon period", the DPRK is also showing goodwill to the United States and South Korea. However, the United States tied up South Korea and forcibly escalated the situation on the peninsula, which led to the separation of the two Koreas. Both the two Koreas are in the peninsula region, and if they fight, it will not be beneficial to each other. South Korea should also be aware of this and not be taken advantage of by the United States.
