After the incident, the developer, Qingdao Jiangbei Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., appointed workers to dredge the sewer, and during the repairs, the workers found that a large amount of construction waste had accumulated in the pipe. The person in charge of the developer said that this was a problem caused by improper use by the neighbors, so it was impossible to compensate Mr. Li's family for the economic losses. After receiving this reply, Mr. Li was going to consider himself unlucky, but on September 30, the problem of overflow reappeared. In desperation, Mr. Li reported the situation to the Pingdu Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and under the coordination of the staff of the Bureau, the developer carried out rectification of the pipeline. However, the new house was not occupied in one day and there was water backlash twice, and after ventilation, the house could still clearly smell a sewer smell, which had become a family disease, and Mr. Li directly applied to the developer to check out.

Regarding this problem, the staff of the Pingdu Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau said that the developer has a certain management responsibility for the major anti-water incident, but during the negotiation process, the developer did not refuse to rectify it. When faced with this kind of problem, the owner can apply for certain compensation through legal channels, and the owner can also ask a third-party agency to investigate whether the design of the sewage pipeline is reasonable, so as to strive for more rights and interests for himself.
