As a writer, I've always been plagued by procrastination. I've often been faced with situations where the deadline is approaching, and the manuscript is still a mess and I can't see anyone. At this time, I would scratch my ears and cheeks, keep pacing, and feel that my "merit is minus 1", so I could only apologize to the editor while knocking on the electronic wooden fish, embarrassed, embarrassed and helpless.
I've been trying to change. I've bought and read a few books on procrastination, and my friends haven't given up on me, and when they see a post about procrastination, they will screenshot it for me.
But I struggle with procrastination, sometimes positively, sometimes casually. For a while, I always tried to reconcile with procrastination and find allies to make myself feel better.
Some time ago, in the book "Being A Writer", I saw that the author of "A Song of Ice and Fire" George W. R· R. Martin shares his experience with procrastination. Martin admits that he has always had problems with deadlines, and in any case, he has not been able to meet the deadline for his manuscript, so he realizes that he will not be able to work at the newspaper and goes to write novels. Of course, everyone should know what happened next...... However, during the development of "Elden Ring", there seems to be no news and jokes related to Martin's procrastination, which may also indicate that Martin has a number in his heart, but when to write, fast or slow, depends on his mood.

I also like a feature reporter, Li Haipeng, who is a legend in the feature industry. The articles he wrote, such as "Sad Flight MU5210" and "The Journey of the Interests of a Piece of Coal", brought me a lot of shocks. However, I am also keenly aware that procrastination can easily cause trouble for others. When Wong Kar-wai was filming "East Evil and West Poison", due to delays, the delivery date was getting closer and closer, and there were still many scenes that had not been filmed. Wong Kar-wai said to producer Liu Zhenwei in no hurry that he couldn't come to the show. Liu Zhenwei was very helpless, after all, he still had to face pressure from the producer, and finally came up with a solution - let the original crew of "East Evil and West Poison" act in a comedy on the spot, this idea contributed to the birth of "East Becomes West". Later, "East Becomes West" became an instant hit in the Lunar New Year stalls of that year, and it was a big hit at the box office, which made up for the deficit caused by the backward progress of "East Evil and West Poison".
As an ordinary person with average talent and hard work, I don't dare to use the traits of my predecessors as an excuse to forgive myself. I'm still worried that procrastination will make me uncompetitive, so I haven't completely "given up on treatment" yet.
Procrastination has also affected every aspect of my life. When playing games, I also deal with procrastination. During the Steam Winter Sale, I bought a lot of games and ended up playing very little. Overall, procrastination brings me a lot of annoyance and reduces a lot of joy. In 2024, I silently made a wish that I would continue to fight procrastination in order to play more games.
