The products after ammonia combustion are mainly nitrogen and water, which are simple to prepare, convenient to store and transport, and have obvious carbon reduction effects. However, ammonia has the drawbacks of high ignition, slow combustion, and corroding metal, making it unable to be used as a fuel.
Relying on strong scientific research and development capabilities, CRRC Dalian has successively cracked the core technologies of combustion, control, security, emission and other systems, and launched the first 5,500 horsepower medium-speed engine in China. Compared with conventional diesel engines, the newly developed engine has 80% lower carbon emissions.
