Wang Jiaxiang is one of the important figures in the history of the Chinese revolution, and he strongly supported Chairman Mao when the Zunyi Conference discussed the follow-up line of the revolution.
Wang Jiaxiang
It was with his all-round support that Chairman Mao led our party out of the quagmire of revolution.
In 1972, Wang Jiaxiang, who had entered his old age, encountered difficulties in life.
Chairman Mao
He wrote to Chairman Mao for help, hoping that he could be assigned a job.
So, in the face of the request for help from this former supporter, what was Chairman Mao's reaction?
The letter of help made Chairman Mao fall into deep thought
Premier Zhou
One day in May 1972, Premier Zhou, who was working in Zhongnanhai, received a letter.
After carefully examining the letter, Premier Zhou realized that there was a problem with Wang Jiaxiang's personal life.
It is reported that Wang Jiaxiang has been unemployed since March 1970.
Wang Jiaxiang
During the two-year period of being unemployed, Wang Jiaxiang's personal savings were slowly depleted.
This letter is just a desire to ask for help and return to work.
After reading this letter, Premier Zhou's heart was very uncomfortable.
Premier Zhou
The situation of the old revolutionaries who were once born and died is so bleak that no one can remain indifferent.
At that time, it was a special stage in China, and Premier Zhou did not dare to deal with the matter privately, so he reported the specific situation to Chairman Mao.
After Chairman Mao read the letter for help, he also felt uncomfortable.
Chairman Mao
He said with emotion: "In those years, our party was able to turn the crisis into peace, and Wang Jiaxiang's stand at the Zunyi meeting was very important! He cast a crucial vote. ”
Immediately afterwards, he added: "Comrade Wang Jiaxiang has made great contributions to the Chinese revolution, and he is now encountering difficulties in life, so we should help him well." ”
After Chairman Mao finished speaking, Premier Zhou on the side repeatedly agreed.
Premier Zhou
In fact, before this letter arrived, neither Chairman Mao nor Premier Zhou knew about Wang Jiaxiang's recent situation.
They only knew earlier that Wang Jiaxiang had stopped working due to illness, and it was unknown whether he would recover geometry or return to his post.
Since Wang Jiaxiang is eager to find a job at the moment, the physical injury should be no big deal.
As a result, Chairman Mao reinstated his post in the diplomatic service.
Wang Jiaxiang
In August 1973, Wang Jiaxiang was promoted to a member of the Central Committee and will be responsible for many important affairs within the party.
However, no one expected that just over four months later, Wang Jiaxiang passed away due to illness on January 25, 1974.
At this time, Wang Jiaxiang, who passed away, was only 68 years old.
This legendary figure in the history of the Chinese revolution could not escape the death trial of "old wounds" after all.
Throw yourself into the revolution and stand up to save our party
In the stereotype of ordinary people, most of the members of our party are peasants and workers from poor families.
They are full of patriotism and are determined to liberate and save the 40,000,000 compatriots of the Chinese nation.
However, among these people with lofty ideals, there are also some individuals of noble origin, who also have a national consciousness of salvation and survival.
Wang Jiaxiang
Among them, Wang Jiaxiang is such a character.
His family is well-off, and he is a wealthy family in Hou'an Village, Jing County, Anhui Province.
When Wang Jiaxiang was very young, he wandered in the sea of books.
Gradually, Wang Jiaxiang, who was full of poetry and books, formed his own good three views.
In the 20s of the last century, the people of China were struggling to make a living, and chaos was frequent.
Wang Jiaxiang knew very well that only by ending the chaos of warlords could the land of China be restored to life.
As a result, while still in school, he slowly came into contact with advanced Marxist thought.
In order to spread this idea, Wang Jiaxiang led the student movement of a patriotic nature on many occasions.
With these experiences, Wang Jiaxiang was eventually favored by the Chinese Communist Youth League and later went to study at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow.
In 1928, after joining the party, Wang Jiaxiang came to the Red Professor's College in Moscow from Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow.
In the new school, Wang Jiaxiang systematically studied and Xi revolutionary theories and wrote articles related to the revolutionary cause of our party.
During his years in Moscow, the shrewd and capable Wang Jiaxiang soon became well-known within the party.
In 1930, Wang Jiaxiang rushed from Moscow to the Shanghai office and took up the position of secretary in the organization's propaganda department.
In April 1931, Wang Jiaxiang, who had distinguished himself in the Propaganda Department, was promoted to "Director of the General Political Department of the Central Soviet Region".
At that time, Chairman Mao was in the Central Soviet Region, and after Wang Jiaxiang became the director of the General Political Department there, the two were bound to intersect.
Sure enough, when Wang Jiaxiang rushed to Ningdu County, Jiangxi, Chairman Mao had been waiting there for a long time.
At this time, Chairman Mao greeted Wang Jiaxiang as if he was waiting for a distinguished guest.
He knows very well that Wang Jiaxiang is a rare talent, and it is worth it even if he puts down his body to receive him.
Chairman Mao and Wang Jiaxiang both had a deep understanding of the revolutionary cause, and they shared each other's unique insights after they met.
During the conversation, the two had similarities and disagreements in their views.
After a conversation, the two actually had a feeling of hating each other and feeling sorry for each other.
Since then, the revolutionary feelings between the two have been deeply imprinted!
In April 1933, Wang Jiaxiang was unfortunately shot during the Long March, and even had shrapnel embedded in his abdomen.
Wang Jiaxiang
Under the organization's race against time, he was finally able to get out of danger.
But at this time, he was seriously injured and still couldn't take care of himself, and he needed the careful care of his comrades at all times.
In 1935, the Zunyi Conference was held in Yan'an, and our party began to re-examine the future path of the revolution.
At this time, there were two main voices at the meeting: one was left-leaning adventurism represented by Li De and Bogu, and the other was pragmatism represented by Chairman Mao.
Chairman Mao advocated that the Chinese revolution should be carried out in a way that suited local conditions and to China's national conditions, a view that emphasized guerrilla warfare and the strategy of encircling the cities from the countryside.
On the contrary, Li De, Bogu and others advocated that the Chinese revolution should comprehensively copy the Soviet model and follow the scheme of "encircling the countryside from the cities".
However, it is obvious that due to the failure of the fifth anti-encirclement and suppression, the ideas of Li De, Bogu and others could not convince the public, and fierce voices of division suddenly appeared at the scene.
At this critical moment, Wang Jiaxiang, as director of the General Political Department, stepped forward, and he did not hesitate to support Chairman Mao's revolutionary line and vigorously criticized the rash ideas of Li De and Bogu and others.
It was Wang Jiaxiang's pivotal statement that confirmed the centrality of Chairman Mao's leadership of China's subsequent revolution.
What happened next is clear, and the Chinese revolution led by Chairman Mao was able to turn the tide and finally achieve victory.
