1, Li Desheng
In the Erye Army that year, Li Desheng's position was not high, in 1949, when the army was reorganized, Li Desheng was only the commander of the 35th Division of the 12th Army of the 3rd Corps of the Erye Army, but he had the greatest achievement in the future.
In the second stage of the Shangganling Campaign, he was ordered to unify the command of the troops of the 12th Army and the 15th Army fighting on the front line. After returning to China, he was promoted to commander of the 12th Army.
General Li Desheng
During the five-year period from 1968 to 1973, he served as commander of the Anhui Provincial Military Region, director of the Provincial Revolutionary Committee, deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region, and first secretary of the Anhui Provincial CPC Committee. In August 1973, at the First Plenary Session of the 10th CPC Central Committee, he was elected a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Committee, reaching the highest point of his political career. But then he was persecuted and resigned as a member of the Politburo Standing Committee and vice chairman of the Central Committee.
Beginning in 1973, Li Desheng served as commander of the Shenyang Military Region for 12 years, transferred to the political commissar of the National Defense University in 1985, was awarded the rank of general in 1988, and retired from the leadership post in 1990. He died in Beijing in 2011 at the age of 96.
2, Liu Huaqing
Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Liu Huaqing's position was basically the same as Li Desheng's. Liu Huaqing has worked under the leadership of Liu Deng since the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and in 1949, when the army was reorganized, he was appointed director of the Political Department of the 11th Army of the Third Corps of the Second Field Army, and later served as the deputy director of the Political Department of the Military and Political University of the Second Field Army and the deputy political commissar of the Tenth Army.
General Liu Huaqing
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Liu Huaqing's position also developed by leaps and bounds, but his promotion speed was not as fast as Li Desheng's. He served in the Navy, serving as Deputy Commander of the Navy's North Sea Fleet and Commander of Base Arthur, and later on assignment to the National Defense Section, where he served as Commander of the Navy from 1982 to 1988, and was awarded the rank of Admiral in 1988.
In 1992, Liu Huaqing, who was already 76 years old, was ready to step down and live a retired life, but at the suggestion of Deng Gong, he was still entrusted with important responsibilities and was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th Political Bureau of the Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China in the same year. In this position, he worked diligently for another 5 years. He died in Beijing in 2011 at the age of 95.
3, Du Yide
General Du Yide was a native of Wuhan, Hubei, and his position during the war years was higher than that of Li Desheng and Liu Huaqing. Du Yide participated in the revolution at the age of 16, and in his many years of war career, he made many achievements, and by the time the army was reorganized in 1949, he was already the deputy commander of the Third Corps of the Second Field and the commander of the Tenth Army.
After the founding of New China, Du Yide went to Korea to participate in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea; after returning to China, he first studied Xi at the Campaign Department of the Military Academy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army; after graduation, he served as political commissar of the Third Corps, deputy political commissar of the Shenyang Military Region, second political commissar of the brigade garrison area, and deputy political commissar of the Navy; after that, he served in the navy for almost 20 years.
Duyd
From 1980 to 1983, Du Yide served as commander of the Lanzhou Military Region, second secretary of the Party Committee of the Lanzhou Military Region, and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the Lanzhou Military Region. When he was awarded the title again in 1988, because he was no longer in the army, he was not awarded the rank, but he was awarded the Chinese People's Liberation Army First Class Red Star Meritorious Service Medal. Du Yide died in Beijing in 2009 at the age of 98.
4, Qin Jiwei
Qin Jiwei is a very famous general in our army, he is a native of Hong'an, Hubei, he participated in the revolution at the age of 13, he fought bravely, and also made great achievements in his war career for many years, in early 1949, when the army was reorganized, Qin Jiwei served as the commander of the 15th Army of the Fourth Corps of the Second Field. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Qin Jiwei was still quite important, and he participated in and commanded the Battle of Shangganling in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and won the reputation of the "Chitose Army" for the 15th Army.
Qin Jiwei
After returning from North Korea, Qin Jiwei successively served as commander of the Yunnan Military Region, commander of the Chengdu Military Region, political commissar of the Beijing Military Region, and commander of the Beijing Military Region. In 1981, commissioned by the Central Military Commission, Qin Jiwei successfully organized the famous North China Live Ammunition Campaign Xi. In 1984, the 35th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Qin Jiwei served as the commander-in-chief of the National Day parade for the 35th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
In 1988, Qin Jiwei was appointed State Councilor and Minister of National Defense, becoming the seventh Minister of National Defense since the founding of the People's Republic of China and the last Minister of National Defense to be held by the founding general, and he was awarded the rank of general in the same year. In 1997, Qin Jiwei died of illness in Beijing at the age of 83.
5, You Taizhong
You Taizhong is a native of Xinyang, Henan, and a member of our army, who joined the Red Army at the age of 13 and is a famous red ghost. In 1949, when the army was reorganized, he served as the commander of the 34th Division of the 12th Army of the Third Corps of the Second Field Corps, and was at the same level as Li Desheng.
You Taizhong
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, You Taizhong has been serving in the army, successively serving as the commander of the 27th Army, deputy commander of the Beijing Military Region, commander of the Inner Mongolia Military Region, first secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee, director of the Autonomous Region Revolutionary Committee, commander of the Chengdu Military Region, commander of the Guangzhou Military Region, second secretary of the Central Military Commission Discipline Inspection Commission, etc., and was awarded the rank of general in 1988. He died in Guangzhou in 1998 at the age of 80.
In addition to the above-mentioned generals, there is another general who once held middle and lower-level positions in the Second Field Army, but he held an important position in the army in the 80s of the last century, he is General Yang Baibing, who served as the deputy director of the Organization Department of the Political Department of the Second Field Logistics Department, the deputy political commissar of the Beijing Military Region in 1982, the political commissar of the Beijing Military Region in 1985, the director of the General Political Department in 1987, and was awarded the rank of general in 1988.
