CCTV News: In the new year, the winter repair of water conservancy in various places has been accelerated, laying a solid foundation for ensuring flood control safety, water supply safety and food security.
In order to lay a solid foundation for agricultural production and flood prevention and drought control in the new year, in Liaoning, the water conservancy department has accelerated the winter construction of six medium-sized irrigation areas, including more than 300 projects such as water transmission, water-saving transformation, and river control. In Jiangxi, scattered small and medium-sized irrigation districts have been merged into modern irrigation districts, and a centralized and unified digital water transfer center has been built.
At the beginning of the new year, a number of national key water conservancy projects have been steadily promoted. At the construction site of the hub project of the Inumutang Reservoir Project in Shaoyang, Hunan, the construction personnel are installing hydropower units, and the hub project is expected to be fully completed by the end of April. In Changxing, Zhejiang, the follow-up project of the embankment around the lake (Zhejiang section) has entered the final stage, and the 9-kilometer embankment around Taihu Lake, the 16-kilometer river channel into the lake and more than 100 gate stations have been basically completed. At the construction site of the Zhangjiahe Gate Station of the second phase of the Huaihe River Estuary Project in Jiangsu, the ancillary facilities are currently being swept up. More than 200 workers are busy at the site of the renovation project of the Phoenix Neck Pumping Station of the Anhui River Diversion River, which is a key control project for flood control, drainage and irrigation of the West River in the Chaohu Lake Basin.
