On a lazy weekend morning, Zhang Tao had to rush to the hospital because of sudden chest tightness and shortness of breath.
Zhang Tao is a middle school teacher, who has a lot of work pressure on weekdays, often stays up late to correct homework, and does not pay much attention to health.
In the hospital
Zhang Tao met Dr. Wang, a humorous and sharp-tongued cardiologist.
After a series of tests, Dr. Wang sat down to chat with Zhang Tao about health.
"Did you know that many people think that eating garlic and celery regularly can unclog blood vessels, but this is actually a misconception? ”
Dr. Wang shook his head as he spoke.
Zhang Tao was surprised because he himself regularly consumed these foods in the hope of improving his health.
In fact, it is important to do 3 things well
Dr. Wong continued, "Actually, there are three things that are important to do well when it comes to maintaining vascular health.
First, maintain the right weight
Second, avoid foods that are high in fat and sugar
Third, stick to moderate physical activity. ”
Dr. Wong explains in plain language why these three things are more important than simply eating certain foods.
He mentioned a large number of scientific studies that have shown that obesity, unhealthy diets, and sedentary lifestyles are the main causes of cardiovascular disease.
During the conversation, Dr. Wang also shared some cases he has encountered in the clinic, illustrating the importance of a healthy lifestyle in preventing cardiovascular disease with vivid examples.
He tells the story of a patient who suffered from severe heart problems due to long-term sedentary and poor diet, and successfully reversed his condition through lifestyle changes.
Zhang Tao listened, and gradually realized the shortcomings of his lifestyle.
He decided to start adjusting his diet Xi habits and adding a moderate amount of physical activity.
Dr. Wang suddenly asked Zhang Tao a seemingly unrelated question:
"Do you know why, even though we know the importance of a healthy lifestyle, it's so difficult to really change your Xi?"
This question made Zhang Tao fall into deep thought.
Dr. Wong went on to explain, "This is because it takes time and perseverance to change Xi, and many times we are affected by our surroundings and Xi habits.
Knowing health literacy is only the first step, the real challenge is to translate that knowledge into action. ”
When Zhang Tao left the hospital, his heart was full of expectations for change.
Dr. Wang, on the other hand, continues to use humor and wisdom in his role to help every patient who seeks help, not only to treat their ailments, but also to guide them towards a healthier lifestyle.
