From January 5th to 7th, 2024, the China "Light of the Sea" Optometry and Visual Science Academic Conference and China Visual Science, Technology and Equipment Exhibition & the 12th "Care for Myopia, Smile Forum" Quanfei Light Academic Conference & Endoscopic ICL Light Academic Conference were held in Shanghai. The academic conference was sponsored by the China National Health Association and the Beijing Medical Science and Health Society, organized by the Ophthalmology Branch of the China National Health Association, the Eye and Otolaryngology Hospital of Shanghai Fudan University and the Shanghai Optometry Research Center, and supported by the Laser Medicine Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Association and the Ophthalmology Professional Committee of the Association of Integrative Traditional and Western Medicine. The conference invited outstanding scholars and well-known experts at home and abroad to discuss the cutting-edge development in the fields of visual health maintenance and myopia prevention and treatment throughout the life cycle. It is committed to promoting the high-quality development of myopia prevention and treatment.
Yang Yafei, director of the refractive specialty of Kunming Ivey Eye Hospital and an expert in the outpatient clinic of high myopia, attended the academic conference and was invited to be hired as a member of the Collaboration Group of Young Experts on Endoscopic Orthodontic Treatment, representing Kunming Ivey Eye Hospital to join the national myopia precision prevention and treatment clinical demonstration project and contribute to the "clear future" of the Chinese people.
Dr. Yang Yafei has extensive experience in ICL intraocular lens implantation and cataract lens replacement, and has performed more than 15,000 ICL surgeries, ranking first in the province.
