Last October, at the Japan Mobile Show, Nissan hinted at the possibility of the next-generation GT-R. A stunning concept car called Hyper Force stole the show at the Tokyo show, with its crazy design and 1341 horsepower. It features dual front and rear motors, all-wheel drive, butterfly doors, and a pixelated GT-R logo. Now, Nissan's director of project design, Giovanny Arroba, says the striking concept car has a chance to evolve into a production model by 2030.

In an interview with Autocar magazine, Arroba called Hyper Force "a bold and realistic dream to be realized by the end of the decade." He continued, "Its shapes, proportions, and gestures are not pure fantasy. "Opinions are mixed about the feedback Nissan received after the concept car was unveiled. Some have suggested that the next generation of supercars should retain the internal combustion engine, while others are "quite positive" about the all-electric scenario.

Nissan's global product director, Ivan Espinosa, previously said that Nissan plans to wait for solid-state batteries to mature before launching the electric GT-R. While the Hyper Force comes in a dual-motor configuration, Espinosa hasn't ruled out the possibility of adding a third or even a fourth motor to the R36. He even briefly mentioned a more popular version of Nismo that would use a smaller battery to reduce weight.
