In the 2022/23 season, Gabriele Joffei and Zafaroni managed Hellas Verona, with Terracciano transforming from a right-sided midfielder to a versatile centre-back player. Marco Baroni has been at the helm of Hellas Verona this season, playing at left wing-back, right wing-back, left-back, right-back and right-centre-back in the 3-4-2-1 and 4-2-3-1 formations. With his versatility, the young Italian is also fully in the starting line-up.

Prior to this, AC Milan had been in intensive talks with Spanish defender Juan Miranda, but the transfer stalled due to high commissions and high wages. After some screening, Milan CEO Fulani and scouting director Moncada locked in Terracciano, and transfer talks went very well. According to transfer market expert Schira, AC Milan and Verona will hold a new round of talks tomorrow (January 3 local time), and the transfer is expected to be finalized within 24 hours.
