When Wang heard this, she was surprised, and she hurriedly asked, "Bodhisattva, I don't know where his ancestral grave is, can you tell me?"
Guanyin said, "Go back and ask your husband that his grandfather once left him a genealogy with the location of his ancestral grave, and you can find his ancestral grave by following the instructions on the genealogy." After saying that, the statue of Guanyin stopped talking.
Wang hurriedly thanked Guanyin Bodhisattva, took the incense candle, ran home, and told Li Wen what had just happened. When Li Wen heard this, he was also surprised, he thought for a while, and said: "I remember that when my grandfather died, he left me a family tree, saying that he wanted me to keep it well and not lose it, but I haven't read it, and I don't know where to put it. ”
Wang said: "You go and look for it, maybe it's still there." Li Wen got up, rummaged through the cabinets, and finally found the family tree in an old box. He opened the family tree and saw the names and deeds of his ancestors, as well as a map indicating the location of his ancestral graves. He took a closer look and saw that his ancestral grave was on a nearby hill, not far away.
Li Wen said happily: "Wife, let's go to the ancestral grave quickly, maybe I will be fine as soon as I go." Wang said, "Okay, you eat something first, I'll go and prepare some sacrifices, and we'll go." Li Wen put the sacrifice in front of the tomb, kowtowed nine heads, and said: "Ancestors, grandson Li Wen has come to worship for you, although the grandson is poor and uneducated, but he has always admired you, hoping to inherit your ambition and serve the country, but unfortunately he has never had the opportunity, and there is a strange problem, every New Year's Day, I will get sick, I don't know if you are dissatisfied with me and want to punish me."
Today, I listened to the instructions of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and only then did I know that you want me to go back to the ancestral tomb to see, so I brought my wife here to worship for you, hoping that you can forgive me, bless me, let me recover as soon as possible, and one day, I can contribute to the country and return your innocence. After saying that, he kowtowed three more times and shed tears.
At this moment, he suddenly felt a gust of wind blowing, his headache and abdominal pain disappeared, his body also regained his spirit, and he said in surprise: "Wife, I'm fine, I'm really well, this must be a gift from my ancestors, they forgave me and blessed me." ”
Wang also said happily: "Great, great, you are finally well, let's go back quickly, don't let them wait for a long time." Li Wen said, "Who?" Wang said: "Have you forgotten? Today is the Spring Festival, and our neighbors, relatives and friends have come to pay New Year's greetings, and they are all waiting at our house." ”
Li Wen said: "Oh, yes, yes, let's go back quickly, I have to read my poems to them." Wang said, "Okay, hurry up, I'll help you pack up the sacrifices, and we'll go." Li Wen put away the family tree, and together with the Wang family, went down the mountain and returned home.
As soon as they arrived at the door of the house, they saw a group of people gathered in front of the door, including their neighbors, their relatives and friends, and some people they didn't know, all of them were wearing new clothes, holding gifts, and smiling. ”
Li Wen and Wang both felt very strange, and they didn't know why these people came, so they said politely: "Thank you, thank you, you are too polite, let's go in." They followed them into the house, and as soon as they entered, they saw that the house was full of flowers and lanterns, the table was full of wine and pastries, and on the wall hung a bright red couplet that read: "Wishing you prosperity, all the best." ”
They were even more surprised, and they didn't know what was going on, so they asked, "What's going on, whose idea was this, and why did you arrange it like this?" At this time, a person in an official uniform walked out and said with a smile: "This is my idea, I was sent by the emperor, I am the secretary of the Ministry of Rites, my name is Zhang Tingyu, and I am here to send you joy." ”
When Li Wen and Wang heard this, they were both startled, they quickly knelt down and said, "It turned out to be Lord Shangshu, the villain doesn't know, he has missed the distance, and I ask for forgiveness." Zhang Tingyu said: "You're welcome, you're welcome, you guys get up quickly, I'm here to send you joy, not to find your trouble." ”
Li Wen and Wang stood up and asked puzzledly: "Send happiness, what kind of joy?" Zhang Tingyu said: "Don't you know? Your poems are favored by the emperor, and the emperor likes your poems very much, and thinks that you are talented, ambitious, and loyal, so he specially gave you an edict, appointing you to edit the Hanlin Academy, and also giving you a mansion, one hundred taels of gold, one thousand taels of silver, some pearls and jade, and some clothes and shoes, these are the emperor's grace, you can thank you quickly." ”
When Li Wen and Wang heard this, they were stunned, they couldn't believe their ears, so they asked: "Is this true? This is not a dream?" Zhang Tingyu said: "Of course this is true, you see, this is the emperor's edict, this is the emperor's seal, this is the emperor's gift, don't you still believe it?"
Li Wen and Wang looked at the edict and seal, as well as those gifts, all of which were true, and they were moved to tears, and they said: "Thank you, thank you, thank you, the emperor, the emperor is really kind, really wise, really wise, we will definitely do our duty, serve the country, and live up to the emperor's expectations." ”
