No wonder Zhang Wuji was determined to break away from Mingjiao, you can understand when you see who destroyed Zhao Min's innocence later

author:Erdong Literature and History

"Heaven and Dragon Slayer" can be regarded as the best in Jin Yong's story, its plot is very complete, the secret of Heaven and Dragon Slayer has been revealed, and the Dayuan court has also been overthrown by the Central Plains Heroes and Zhu Yuanzhang, and it is reasonable for the story to come to an end at this time.

However, because there are already precedents of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" and "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", readers will inevitably expect Jin Yong to continue this series after writing "Heaven and Dragon Slayer", writing a tetralogy or even a new trilogy.

But Jin Yong didn't strike while the iron was hot, but instead went to create works such as "Mandarin Duck Knife", "Liancheng Jue", "Tianlong Babu" and so on.

And Zhang Wuji's story also came to an end after he chose to quit Mingjiao, in fact, Zhang Wuji's retirement is slightly abrupt, after all, there are too many stories worth digging in this character.

1. Zhang Wuji in the future

In the last episode of the original work, Jin Yong let Zhang Wuji get the "Nine Yin True Scripture", you must know that Zhang Wuji has practiced the Jiuyang Divine Skill in the "Nine Yang True Scripture", and at this time he has the "Nine Yin True Scripture", as long as he is given enough time to practice the martial arts, he will become the first person to combine the nine yin and nine yang.

In fact, he also showed enough interest in the Nine Yin True Scripture.

For example, this description is very intuitive: "Zhang Wuji casually flipped through the "Nine Yin True Scripture", read a few pages, only felt that the meaning of the text was profound, and it was difficult to understand for a while, but it was by no means a vicious and evil martial arts, and said: 'The martial arts contained in this scripture are actually extremely profound, and they are cultivated according to law, and after one or two decades, I believe that the achievements are not trivial. ’”

Obviously, he will definitely study the martial arts in the future, and even his master Zhang Sanfeng may not be his opponent at that time.

So Jin Yong forcibly arranged for him to retire because Zhang Wuji was too invincible, and did not continue his later life?

No, you must know that Jin Yong mentioned such a sentence in the serial version: "In the Yuan Dynasty, the middle earth fell into a foreign race, and the people groaned under the iron hooves of Mongolia, caught in the dire straits, in order to resist the brutality of the officials, and tried their best to protect themselves. Compared with the world of Guo Jing, Huang Rong, Yang Guo, and Xiaolongnu at the end of the Song Dynasty, martial arts are more sophisticated, and thrilling, and the things that can sing and cry are also inexhaustible. ”

What does this mean?

It shows that there are talented people in the rivers and lakes, and you never need to worry about the lack of martial arts, and at the same time, from the perspective of the creator, why is it difficult for Jin Yong to let the master "airborne"?

But the reader sees the fact that Zhang Wuji has retired.

Second, the sect leader Zhang who retired freely

On the bright side, Zhang Wuji's retreat was really helpless, because he didn't want to get involved in the power struggle.

Zhu Yuanzhang in the later period has already revealed his ambitions, and if Zhang Wuji continues to entangle with him, he is afraid that he will be killed.

After all, from the perspective of historical necessity, Zhu Yuanzhang was the one who finally overthrew the Dayuan Dynasty and established the Ming Dynasty, and it is impossible for Jin Yong to rewrite history for a fictional character.

And Zhang Wuji has become the biggest obstacle on Zhu Yuanzhang's road to becoming emperor, after all, when Zhang Wuji and Zhou Zhi wanted to get married, his subordinates had already begun to look forward to the future.

The book reads: "Han Lin'er clapped his hands and said: 'At that time, the sect leader became the emperor, Miss Zhou became the queen's mother, and Yang Zuo and Master Peng were the prime ministers of the left and right, so it was applauded!' Zhou Zhiruo's cheeks were flushed, and she bowed her head shyly, but the corners of her eyebrows and eyes looked overjoyed. Zhang Wuji shook his hand again and again, and said, "Brother Han, don't say this again. This religion only wants to save the people of the world from fire and water, and retire after success, and do not be greedy for wealth and wealth, that is the bright and upright husband, and it must not violate the strict precepts of the Holy Fire Order. Peng Yingyu said: "The sect leader's mind is very within the reach of people, but at that time, the yellow robe will be added, and you can't push it off if you want to." When Chen Qiao mutinied, why did Zhao Kuangyin want to be the emperor?'"

Obviously, if Zhang Wuji does not retire, Zhu Yuanzhang is afraid that it will be difficult to ascend to the throne.

But this matter still seems to lack a "martial arts" explanation, only from the logic of the book, Zhang Wuji actually has no reason to retire at all.

In fact, in the serial version, he did not retire, but accepted Zhou Zhiruo's request and took over as the head of the Emei faction.

But the same thing is that he still resigned from the position of the head of the Ming Sect, so "Zhang Wuji retired" and "Zhang Wuji resigned from the position of the head of the Ming Sect" are actually two different things.

It seems that "breaking away from Mingjiao" is what he really wants to do, so what is the reason?

Maybe it has something to do with Zhao Min.

3. The person who ruined Zhao Min's innocence

In the last episode of the original book, Zhang Wuji finally determined that the woman he wanted to be with for the rest of his life was Zhao Min, in fact, he did not break away from Mingjiao, and he could have married Zhao Min, so he could have let Zhao Min be the wife of the sect leader.

However, the bad thing is that Zhou Zhiruo made a very unreasonable request to him, she did not allow Zhang Wuji to marry Zhao Min.

Zhang Wuji also felt guilty about Zhou Zhiruo because of his original repentance, as long as he agreed to Zhou Zhiruo's request.

At the same time, Zhang Wuji replied: "If you don't worship the church and get married, you naturally don't violate the way of chivalry." I had a marriage contract with you, but I didn't get married in a church later. Yes, I promise you. After arriving in Mongolia, I don't marry Zhao Min, but we have to be husband and wife and have babies the same!"

And this is the problem, Zhou Zhiruo's request has no impact on Zhang Wuji, he can indeed be a husband and wife with Zhao Min and have a baby, but for Zhao Min, it is tantamount to being ruined by someone's innocence, how can the daughter's family be a husband and wife with each other without marrying, and give birth to a baby? It is still difficult for modern people to accept this kind of relationship, let alone in the more traditional Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty.

Zhang Wuji's move is to ruin Zhao Min's innocence, and it is also contrary to the canons of Mingjiao.

In the original book, there is such a canon: "The fourth command: Respect women, and do not flirt lightly." Any virgin widow with whom she has a husband and wife must marry her, or she must be solemnly opposed. Friend's wife, don't play, friend's daughter, don't talk nonsense. ”

People in Mingjiao must not destroy people's innocence but not marry, not to mention that Zhang Wuji is the leader of the sect, if he does not break away from Mingjiao, and takes the lead in violating the canons, I am afraid that even the people of Mingjiao will not be able to spare him.

From this point of view, Zhang Wuji's retreat is more reasonable.
