Faced with his rebellion when he was young, Aikawa recalled that it was all due to his parents' divorce.
At the age of 15, Aikawa attended an audition organized by Sony, and although the audition was unsuccessful, she met producer Tetsuro Oda here.
For Aikawa, it was only when she met Tetsuro Oda that the gears of fate began to turn, and Oda was also the biggest noble person in her life.
In a later interview, Aikawa said it was the most important meeting of his life. It was Tetsuro Oda who made him who he was, and if he hadn't met him, Aikawa wouldn't have left Osaka and came to Tokyo. That encounter changed Aikawa's life.
In her sophomore year of high school, Aikawa chose to drop out of school because she felt that school was boring, and many of her classmates who were in school together in her freshman year of high school left school one after another, and at least 100 or so people chose to drop out in one school year, and even the teacher said to Aikawa, "It's useless to mess around in school like you, it's better to leave early to find what you want to do." Coincidentally, Aikawa has been in touch with Tetsuro Oda since that audition, and after dropping out, Oda also encouraged her to move to Tokyo to start Xi to become a singer.
With Oda's help, in November 1995, the 20-year-old Aikawa officially debuted as a singer. In 1996 her first album "Red" was released. The album debuted at number one on the Oricon album chart and has sold over 2.45 million copies to date, making it a double-million selling album.
