According to the report, Samsung is working with KT, LG Uplus, and SK Telecom, three South Korean telecom operators, to test the communication capabilities of the Galaxy S24 Ultra two weeks before its official launch.

In order to avoid revealing its appearance, Samsung packaged the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the shape of a lunchbox, which is also a regular practice of mobile phone manufacturers before launch. There doesn't seem to be any mention of a two-way satellite connection on the phone, though, which could mean that Samsung may have skipped using it for unknown reasons.

IT Home previously reported that a screenshot shows that the Galaxy S24 series phones will have satellite communication capabilities.

The screenshot page reads "Send emergency text message via satellite", and the comment section reads: "If the user's area does not have a network signal, Samsung will provide a connection through the satellite network to ensure that the user can send an emergency text message".

According to an industry insider, Samsung's two-way satellite connection will be the first to be equipped on the Galaxy S25 series, and Samsung believes that the current technology is still not mature enough, so the S24 series will skip this feature for the time being.
