What is confusing is, why did the Kuomintang still stir up a civil war when the overall situation was decided?

What made Yang Baoqing really make up his mind to fly to New China was a letter from his wife from Taiwan.

Unexpectedly, a letter from his wife completely subverted his perception of the Kuomintang.
In the letter, the wife stated:
"After coming to Taiwan, my son was very ill and hoped that he would be able to return in time to reunite with them. ”

Not only that, but the previous term also transferred him to Nanjing, and put him in charge of the non-stop transportation of troops and supplies from the mainland to Taiwan.

During this period, the busy Yang Baoqing had no time to go home to visit his wife and children.
And at this moment, when he was about to collapse, he met Bole-brother-in-law Zhao Lianjing.
During the conversation between the two, Zhao Lianjing told him about the greatness of the Communist Party and the bright prospects of New China.
He also told him that if he was really disappointed in the Kuomintang, it would be better to try to defect to the Communist Party, so that he could also realize his great ideal of serving the country and the people.
Under Zhao Lianjing's persuasion, Yang Baoqing completely let go of his doubts and precautions against the Communist Party and New China.
Without further ado, he decided to take the supplies he was going to deliver as soon as possible.

In the end, due to the exhaustion of fuel on the plane, it was forced to land in the newly liberated city of Tangshan.
