On December 27, the "Urban Grid Integration, Walkers First - Shanghai Rail Transit Planning, Construction and Development Consultation Conference" jointly organized by the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission and the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources was held in the lecture hall of the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall.
The conference invited more than 10 well-known experts in the fields of national railway, urban rail transit, land and spatial planning, practitioners from relevant management and operation institutions, scientific research institutes, and representatives of the 30 years of development of Shanghai rail transit to make keynote reports or participate in roundtable discussions. More than 200 people attended the meeting, including relevant government departments at the two levels of the city, relevant government departments of 12 cities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui Province and metropolitan area, Shanghai rail transit construction and operation entities, relevant universities, research institutions and related associations and societies. Everyone gathered together to review and summarize the 30 years of development experience of Shanghai rail transit, and jointly discuss and plan the future development path of Shanghai rail transit.
Looking back at the past, Shanghai rail transit has gone through the year of completion and operation. On May 28, 1993, the southern section of Shanghai's first subway line 1 was put into trial operation, which fulfilled the "subway dream" in the hearts of the people of Shanghai. Over the past 30 years, Shanghai Rail Transit has started from scratch, adhered to the guidance of planning, and has built an operating network of 831 kilometers and 508 stations of 20 lines, achieving three "world firsts" in terms of operating mileage, number of trains, and number of fully autonomous driving lines.
At present, Shanghai Metro has become the first choice for public travel, with an average daily passenger volume of nearly 12 million on weekdays, accounting for about 76% of public transportation passenger traffic. The multi-level urban passenger transport system dominated by rail transit is becoming more and more perfect, and the five new cities have achieved rail transit coverage. At the same time, we have also made continuous efforts to introduce new technologies and implement new concepts, and the shield construction has moved from manual control to intelligent control of full automatic driving and push synchronization, and the operation has shifted from manned to fully automatic and unmanned, and the operation has shifted from single-line operation to ultra-large-scale network operation, and the service has become more and more standardized, refined and humanized, so that more passengers can feel the temperature of Shanghai Metro.
At the same time, actively promote the construction of the "Yangtze River Delta on the track", the first inter-provincial operation of rail transit Line 11 has achieved non-inductive transfer, the first municipal railway airport liaison line will be opened to traffic in 2024, and the first municipal railway Shanghai Demonstration Zone line connecting Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai provinces is being actively promoted. The main framework of Shanghai's regional railway network has begun to take shape, and the intercity (city) railway network of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration has taken shape.
Thirty years of hard work, thirty years of hard work. Zhang Yuxin, director of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Planning and Resources, said in his opening speech that standing at a new starting point in the past 30 years, the planning and construction of rail transit should focus on the construction of Shanghai's "five centers" and the high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta as a major mission, and take the practice of the people's city concept and development for the people as the fundamental purpose, constantly broaden the global vision and strategic vision, and continuously improve the scientific, professional and forward-looking planning.
Actively explore and innovate the system and institutional mechanism of multi-network integration, build a rail transit network that is coordinated with the spatial pattern of megacities, matched with the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, and symbiotic and integrated with the metropolitan area, with high-starting point planning, high-level design, and high-standard construction. It further demonstrates the leading and supporting role of rail transit in major development strategies, further improves the overall efficiency of the comprehensive transportation system, further strengthens the improvement of rail transit construction and operation level supported by scientific and technological innovation, continues to promote green, low-carbon and sustainable development, and effectively plays the leading and exemplary role of rail transit in accelerating the construction of a socialist modern international metropolis with world influence and the process of Chinese-style modernization.
Wang Xiaojie, deputy director of the Municipal Transportation Commission, said in his opening speech that Shanghai Rail Transit has made remarkable achievements in the past 30 years, and has made important contributions to the implementation of major national strategies, the development of the "five centers" and the construction of a global excellent city.
In the face of the new situation, new tasks and new challenges, he put forward the problems that need to be considered for the further development of Shanghai rail transit from four dimensions, namely, how to build a new pattern of urban space and realize TOD to guide urban development, how to better promote the integration of rail transit and urban planning, and realize the integrated development of stations and cities, how to better adapt to the relevant requirements of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, and how to achieve ultra-large-scale network security, smart and green operation and sustainable development.
At the meeting, the participating experts and conference personnel spoke freely, focusing on the planning, construction, operation and management of the mega city rail transit system, focusing on the topics of network planning and construction, station-city integrated development, green and intelligent operation and maintenance, etc., and actively made suggestions and forward-looking discussions, so as to provide technical support for the follow-up development of Shanghai rail transit with higher quality.
