Nearly 30 years have passed, and when another "Flowers" focusing on Shanghai alleys will meet the audience immediately, the once familiar memories began to permeate the city, triggering a wave of memories at the same time, but also making many netizens involuntarily compare it with "Sin Debt", looking forward to recreating the grand occasion of the year.
Compared with "Debt of Sin", "Flowers" is adapted from Jin Yucheng's novel of the same name that won the Mao Dun Literature Award, directed by the famous Wong Kar-wai, and the actors include Hu Ge, Ma Yili, Tang Yan and other powerful stars, both the original work and the main creative team are not inferior, but it is not easy to reach the height of the former, and there are at least two obstacles to overcome.
The first is whether the story adaptation can resonate

This is a big challenge for the skills of the screenwriter and director, who need to find the common joys and sorrows in the gap between time and space, give the characters an arc light with the atmosphere of alley and pyrotechnics, and provide the audience with a remote control that touches the soft strings of the heart.
The second is whether the actor gives the character a soul
The actors are another highlight of "Sin Debt", regardless of the protagonist or supporting role, each character is vivid, in line with the role positioning, and the performance is real and simple, fresh and natural, with a strong sense of substitution, which instantly pulls the audience back to that vigorous and innocent era.
From the current point of view, the casting of "Flowers" can be regarded as attentive, inviting Hu Ge, Ma Yili, Tang Yan, Chen Long, Zheng Kai, Wu Yue, A Qing, Jiang Yilei, Fan Xiangyan, Tong Chenjie, Wang Ju and other Shanghai actors with different characteristics, but I don't know how the actual performance in the play is.
If you take the presentation of stills and trailers as the basis, it feels like it has the taste and texture of that era, but in the end, it still depends on whether the interpretation of the character's personality, emotions and heart is accurate, and whether the character can be flesh and blood and truly stand up.
