"In the past, the CAN bus control system used by domestic buses was an imported brand, a set of prices of more than 30,000 yuan, after the CAN bus control system independently developed and produced by Weidi was put on the market, with leading technology, good performance and excellent quality, it broke the monopoly of foreign investors in one fell swoop, and the cost was 50% cheaper than imports." Yu Qiong, secretary of the chairman of Harbin Weidi Electronics Co., Ltd., told reporters that at present, the company has 33 patents and has successfully supplied products for more than 120 domestic bus manufacturing plants such as "Beiqi Foton", "Golden Dragon Bus" and "Xiamen Golden Brigade", and these products are also exported to Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas and Oceania with the company's supporting bus manufacturing plants.

THE CAN bus control system is an intelligent system that controls the body electrical appliances of the bus. Its developer, Weidi Company, is located in The Development Zone of Harbin Economic Development Zone, which is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research and development, production and sales of automotive electronic products. The company has now formed a complete product system supporting the electrical system of domestic OEMs, including automotive CAN bus, automotive cloud bus, automotive instrumentation, automotive driving recorder, sensor, ECU control unit and other dozens of different products and thousands of specifications and models of series of supporting products, all products have reached the domestic leading, international advanced technical level.

In order to meet the needs of the domestic market, Weidi Company invested more than 170 million yuan to start the automotive CAN bus control system capacity expansion project. At present, the basic construction part of the project has been completed, the new comprehensive production plant covers an area of more than 29,950 square meters, and the installation and commissioning of new SMT production lines, welding and assembly manufacturing lines, mold processing equipment, injection molding and other equipment will be carried out in June. After the project reaches production, the annual production capacity will increase from more than 30,000 sets to 42,000 sets, and it is expected to increase the annual sales revenue of 230 million yuan.

"After the cloud platform is completed, it can be compared through big data analysis to predict which part of which vehicle is going to have a problem, and send an alarm signal through intelligent monitoring to remind the driver to check in time to ensure the safety of passengers to the greatest extent." Song Baosen, deputy general manager of Weidi Company, said that the cloud bus vehicle networking service platform is equivalent to the "brain" of the passenger car, not only can find out the vehicle safety loopholes according to the comparison of the operation information, but also can monitor the energy consumption information, remind the driver to save fuel consumption and operate safely, this project is not only the development needs of the future smart bus, but also a basic part of the construction of smart cities.

Song Baosen told reporters that the vehicle networking system refers to the installation of vehicle terminal equipment in the vehicle bus system to achieve the collection, transmission and storage of all the working conditions and static and dynamic working conditions of the vehicle. The system is divided into three parts: vehicle terminal, cloud computing processing platform, data analysis platform, vehicle operation process, the resulting vehicle data is continuously sent to the background database, forming massive data, by the cloud computing platform to achieve "filter cleaning" of massive data, data analysis platform for reporting processing of data, for managers to view and analyze.

The planned total investment of 200 million yuan will mainly build four parts: the vehicle CAN bus system, the Vidair cloud bus service platform, the private cloud solution and the public transportation open data and social service platform. The project will build a vehicle networking service platform based on key technologies such as CAN bus technology, on-board intelligent terminals, big data analysis and processing, with smart bus as the entry point, vehicle scheduling, vehicle safety monitoring, and driving evaluation system as the core.

At present, the project has completed the research and development of on-board intelligent hardware terminals, and it is expected that the interior decoration of the computer room will be completed at the end of May. After the completion of the renovation, it will enter the installation and commissioning stage of the first phase of the project. After the completion of the first phase, the on-board intelligent communication terminal and the basic vehicle networking cloud platform will form a service capability to maintain 300,000 buses online; the private cloud of the Internet of Vehicles, open data of public transportation and social service platform can form a service capability that can be customized according to the number of customer needs. The entire project is expected to be completed in September next year.
