"Guo Dad" Gao Qiang: Grow up together with his daughter in two-way running

"Dad, today on Father's Day, I prepared a gift for you, did you prepare it for me?"

"Isn't it Father's Day? Why do you want a present?"

"Isn't it because of me that you became a father?"

Opening "Guoguo and Guoda" is like opening a vivid father-daughter dialogue, and every page is full of unexpected witty words. The "Guo Dad" in the book is honest and humorous, and takes care of his daughter's innocent world in his own way.

From the age of 4 to 10, Gao Qiang recorded more than 200 daily conversations between father and daughter, accompanied by vivid illustrations carefully drawn by illustrator Gao Dai, showing a Chinese-style parent-child relationship in modern society, which can be resonated and smiled by readers of all ages.

Wang Kai, the founder of "Uncle Kai's Storytelling", said in the book's recommendation: "The most important takeaway is how you feel when you read this book. The reason why a person feels happy is because he has been immersed in one or more beautiful relationships. The most important responsibility of a parent is to manage your relationship with your children. Nothing else, it doesn't matter. This collection of parent-child dialogues, known as "China's version of "Father and Son", depicts the daily relationship between father and daughter in a relaxed and warm way.

Recently, Gao Qiang was interviewed by a reporter from this newspaper to share the parenting experience of "Guo Dad".

Grow with your child in the company

"Actually, I didn't think about writing a book at first, I just wanted to make a record, and when the child grew up, let her see how she communicated with her father when she was a child, and the result was seven or eight years. ”

When her daughter was 3 years old, she once asked Gao Qiang a question: "Why do the geese in the sky fly into the word 'one' and the word 'human'?" After listening to his explanation, his daughter asked rhetorically: "Could it be because they know few words and only know these two words?" Gradually, casually recording his daughter's daily life has become a Xi, and Gao Qiang has also become a well-known "Guo Dad" in the circle of friends. Later, the Changjiang Literature and Art Publishing House found Gao Qiang and proposed to combine these father-daughter dialogues into a book - "Guoguo and Guod" was born.

The "Guo Dad" in the book not only takes care of Guoguo's life and studies, but also always "copes" with strange ideas from Guoguo, and the father and daughter are close. When asked in the interview about the key to family education, Gao Qiang also repeatedly emphasized the importance of the word "companionship". Since their daughter was 3 years old, the two have developed a Xi - to touch fists every night before going to bed, even if Gao Qiang is on a business trip, they will complete this small ritual through their mobile phones. This action was conceived by the daughter, and now it has become a unique way for the father and daughter to communicate their emotions.

From a small fist bump to recording countless moments in life, Gao Qiang turned companionship into action and participated in every moment of his daughter's growth. At the same time, he also believes that children have their own life paths to follow, "she will establish a set of her own thinking logic system, and it becomes more important for parents to form a good role model next to her." Therefore, rather than monotonous preaching, parents should influence their children more with practical actions. In order to encourage his daughter to learn piano, he studied with her in lessons and Xi, and in order to cultivate his daughter's interest in art, his character sketches continued to improve.

"It can be said that I accompany her, but in fact the child is also with me. This kind of two-way companionship allows Gao Qiang to draw a lot of strength from it, the most important of which is a heavy sense of responsibility.

"I can do a lot of things because I have children. In the future, I want her to grow up and be proud to see what her father has done, so she will work very hard to do it well now. Gao Qiang said.

Gao Qiang said that the reason why he insisted on recording conversations with his daughter was because he appreciated the way his children answered questions. In the book, Guoguo's countless whimsical ideas are the unique thinking obtained from observing the world from the innocent perspective of children, which is full of children's unique innocence, bringing endless feelings and inspiration to Gao Qiang. "A child comes with a mission from another world, you don't know her world, and many of her ideas and statements are very different from adults, and there are many things that you can learn from her as a parent. ”

Be a guide on the path of children's growth

In the eyes of friends, Gao Qiang is a "cross-border celebrity", majoring in communications as an undergraduate, and later worked as a reporter for China Radio and Television, served as the chief writer of the CCTV documentary "Memorandum of National Conditions", and has participated in the compilation of many books. For him, writing is not a profession, but a daily Xi, and after having a daughter, writing has naturally become a way to lead his daughter's growth.

The child's growth is always surprisingly fast, and Guoguo, who was "watched" by the circle of friends, has become a junior high school student in September this year, and Gao Qiang also clearly feels that the child has become more assertive and has his own ideas. The age difference between the father and daughter is 44 years old, and it is inevitable that there is a generation gap in thinking and looking at problems, but Gao Qiang has his own set of "magic tricks" to solve the problem.

Gao Qiang said that his daughter was "obsessed" with online novels a while ago, and he accompanied her to participate in an author signing, and the queue was 4 hours. "There are some things that children are interested in in online literature, but at the same time, there is a lack of really good writers to guide children in a positive direction. After returning, Gao Qiang began to study the writing and logic of similar novels, and wrote a series of "fantasy" short stories with his daughter and classmates as the protagonists, which were very popular when brought to school. In his view, education is not just about telling children "what not to do", but also about pointing out a direction for children and giving them the right guidance.

Gao Qiang lamented that it took a lot of effort to write these novels, but his sense of responsibility as a father drove him to persevere. And words also allow Gao Qiang to enter the child's world in a more relaxed way. "Sometimes I go to a place with Guoguo, and when I come back, I write a separate experience and let her see the same experience, how Dad wrote and how she wrote. Gao Qiang said that although he did not specifically guide his children's writing, after reading his own articles, his daughter would naturally be affected and more motivated.

At a parent-teacher meeting attended by Gao Qiang, the Chinese teacher compared linguistic Xi to "a two-way love", and in getting along with his daughter, he gradually realized this "two-way rush": "Parents are not educators, but people who grow up with their children. ”

Accompanying, appreciating, and growing together, and finally achieving a two-way love. Gao Qiang recorded this love with his heart and turned it into a growth dialogue, and it also became the best life gift from a father to his daughter.

"If I could, I would love to give you the best in the world. If you can only fulfill one wish, I want you to grow up healthy. This is a passage that Gao Qiang left for his daughter in the book. On the long road of growth outside the text, Guoguo will still walk hand in hand with "Guo Dad", laughing and reaping happiness all the way.
