According to the notice issued by the State Council on the implementation plan for the exemption of tolls for small passenger cars on major holidays of the Ministry of Transport and other departments (Guo Fa [2012] No. 37), the time frame for free passage of toll roads is four national statutory holidays such as the Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day and National Day. Therefore, on the highway during the New Year's Day holiday, there is still a normal traffic fee.

Spring Festival Expressway free passage time: February 9 (Chinese New Year's Eve) 00:00 to February 17 (the eighth day of the first lunar month) 24:00, a total of 9 days.

Among the 3 days of New Year's Day holiday, only January 1 is a legal holiday. Therefore, if you work overtime for all three days, the calculation of overtime pay will be different.

1. If the employer arranges an employee to work overtime, the employer shall pay the overtime wage at a rate not less than 300% of the employee's daily or hourly wage, and shall not replace it with compensatory leave.

2. If the employer arranges overtime work on December 30 and 31, 2023, the employer shall first arrange for the employee to take compensatory leave, which shall not be less than the overtime hours, and if the compensatory time off cannot be arranged, the overtime wage shall be paid at a rate not less than 200% of the base amount of the employee's daily or hourly overtime wage.
