Award-winning companies

The People's Corporate Social Responsibility Award is one of the most authoritative and influential CSR selection activities in China, aiming to recognize enterprises and organizations that have made outstanding achievements in the implementation of social responsibility. Among them, the "Building a Dream Future Award" focuses on enterprises/institutions with outstanding achievements and innovative practices in serving the high-quality development of children's causes across the country, serving the healthy growth of young people, protecting their rights and interests, and building a dream for the future in 2023.

On the road of children's growth, books are like mentors and friends, playing an immeasurable role in their spiritual nourishment, knowledge accumulation, and vision development. In 2021, the "Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035" clearly proposed to "further promote reading for all people and build a scholarly China". The construction of "Scholarly China" is inseparable from the "Scholarly Campus", and the promotion of national reading, young people and children are the top priority.

Reading for rural children has always been a common concern in society, and it is also the focus and difficulty in the promotion of reading in China. According to the 2022 Survey Report on the Reading Status of Rural Primary Schools in Mainland China, the average number of extracurricular books read by rural primary school students is 3.27, less than one-third of the number of books read by primary school students in China. To this end, since 2022, Sophia, together with its distributors across the country, has joined hands with the China Charity Federation to rely on the "Happy Home" project to launch the "Happy Home, Sophia Children's Book House" public welfare action, and assisted in the construction of the "Children's Book House" public welfare reading room in rural China, providing more high-quality reading resources and reading environment for children in rural China.
